I have seen this talked about on other posts but no one has an answer..2007 S4 manual... was backing up my driveway in snow and got stuck, my buddy got out of the car and noticed only the rear wheels spun. tried with ESP on and off no difference, going forward all 4 wheels spun. is there something special I don't know where Quattro only works going forward?

both those videos are B6's with 50/50 2/1

    his is B7 with T3 60/40 at 4/1
all the torque wants to go to the back wheels naturally, still esp should have engaged dropped engine power and applied brakes on rear wheel to send more power to front

possible wheel sensor issue, esp or T3.... idk

This would be one of those times when I'd be glad that the center diff on my C4 A6 is abnormally "tight" and the torque split doesn't really work properly - it's almost like an LSD (but it is a T1 - maybe it was just set up too tight or something). Anyway, I can spin at least 3 of 4 wheels, even if one set is in mud and one set on gravel (it has a lockable rear diff) - pulls like a tractor! : ) The downside is it scrubs quite badly on full lock but I've had it 12-13 years and that part at least hasn't broken
