These are the only two twin turbo's i know about and Niether has responded to my pm's emails.

Intake, exhaust, and chip will net you 12-18 hp. Not a whole lot, your running a n/a motor.

You can do a 50 wet shot of nitrous. There are a few around who do, they tend to stay quite as some of the members here are asshats about nitrous only being for ricers.

The pes system puts down 320 chp, and 268 ctorque. that translates to about 256whp and 213 wtorque. Winslow at PES thinks with intake and The new thermal exhaust that thermal made specifically for the g3 they can hit 350 chp witch would put you at 270-275 whp.

The g3 is the eaton roots e-62 supercharger, it hits 10 psi at full boost, This is the safe long term functioning limit PES has found on the 2.8/3.0 30v engines. Winslow says if you want to go higher with the G3 you'll need to beef up the bottom end. As for the top end their testing shows the g2/g3 actually benefits from all of the turbulence increasing the mixture of the compressed air and fuel. This gives better fuel air mix for ignitions. The g3 is their third supercharger for the 2.8/3.0 30v, it started with the g1, then the g2, and the final version of the g3 for the 3.0 30v.

3.0 king has a g3 with intake and supersprint exhaust and shows 335 chp. That puts him at s4 power with 3.0 gas mileage and about 5k less new. Out of the g2's and g1's there are some that are in the 60k to 90k in mileage, is this the standard yeah I believe so. the e-62 is a near bullet proof s/c not nearly as high strung as a big turbo kit for the 1.8t's. If

If your looking for near instant boost, with s4 power, but the gas savings of a 3.0. This will fit the bill.

When i asked winslow about speed comparisons he said the g3 will beat a chipped and exhaust 4.2 s4, and a chipped 996 will need a long long road to actually take the g3, and it finally does at 6th gear and about 6k in rpm.

    ************************
Obligatory info to support what i said

These two dyno's are from a 3.0a4 quattro. so the numbers are quattro WHP numbers. multiply them by 1.21/1.22 some where in there to get your numbers at the crank.

Several guys with the g3 make more than the advertised 320. 3.0king makes 335 with stratosphere cai and supersprint exhaust.

Last I talked with Winslow he was thinking that the new thermal exhaust specifically made for the g3 could possibly bring it up to about 350 chp. which would translate into 273 whp on a quattro a4.

    I asked about
Port and polish of the top end, headers, manifold extrude and hone, 50 hp shot of nitros... your best of hearing his answers directly from him.

For those two lazy to call.

*Port and polish. Will run you about 12-1500 for almost no gain times that people have done it on the g2 they range with in 5-8 hp on their dynos that is well with in the margin of error for environmental conditions.

    * Headers run around 1100 for the 2.8/3.0 if you can find them. I did once but lost the link. Pes tested the headers on the G2 and saw a gain of 8-10 hp. for 1100 plus one hellatious install it was a bit of a stretch.

*Extruding and honing of the Manifold. PESs is a custom manifold. What little rough ness it has is likely to give the air a bit of turbulence. This tumble seems in Winslows opinion to be more beneficial to the operation than a clean charge. It forces the air and fuel to mix at a much more efficient level.

*Nitrous in addition to the G3 has not really been tried. Give it a shot :P and let Winslow know.

*Intercoolers. Currently the G1 is the only supercharger that can accept the FMIC. Right now both the G2 and G3 simply do not have enough room to mount one. Both in the front and in the space between the hood and S/C.

Even with a FMIC on the g2 PES only saw a minimal amount of temperature drop. With intake charges around 250 degrees F. This little change was next to worthless. Winslow stated that to see any gains they needed a minimum of 35 degree lower intake temps. With the room, cooling and psi loss it simply did not make economical sense.

    Water/methanol injection is more feasible.

    anywho, I hope that helps.

this is a dyno on the g2 done on a fwd passat 2.8 this will give you a comparison of the hp loss due to Quattro 21/22% versus around 9% drive train loss for FWD.

Hey Grouse, what would you say if I told you I have a contact that is willing to make a one- off headers and L/W flywheel?I also found a Stage three clutch from Spec and South Bend.

First motion to sticky this thread

As mentioned prior, upgrade information regarding Audi N/A V6 engines is extremely hard to find and never detailed. This thread will be a godsend for many.

With respect to Supercharged audi, sometimes they can be a bit abrasive when asking for help and advice. Getting this all together was to allow people to see the info first hand and understand the limits of it.

Most people see it here, audiforums, aw ect. then head there.

If i can give them this info here then they avoid the newbish questions there.

    Still to include clutch.

I have also to put together all the aggregate g2 dyno's and 2.8 30v information and links.

short shifters too. Not that those increase power, but they make shifting so much quicker. I wonder how much time a short shifter will shave off a quarter mile. Think a .5 second?
