Has anyone run 19x9 ET40 with PSS 255/35-19? Will I have rub issues?

Should fit; front could be very close to strut on inside depending on if you have coilovers or stock struts

    Aggressive Wheel Thread (S3)

Can anyone think of any reason why running the S4 v-spoke wheels (19x8.5 ET 43 5x112) on an S3 with the correct hub centric rings and 8mm spacers up front/12 rear would be detrimental to the Haldex system/diffs? I can't imagine this would be the case, but I put on these wheels with brand new Conti DWS 06's (235/35r19's) a couple weeks ago, and over the last two days I've had serious front wheel slippage on dry, stable ground from ~30mph under moderate to heavy acceleration. Basically, RPMs will climb but acceleration will be minimal as I feel the car struggling to gain traction. It finally drizzled slightly here in L.A., and on damp ground it simply did not feel like an AWD car. Anyone else experience this? Seems like maybe the Haldex is failing.

Part 2 of this has me wondering if anyone here has ever had warranty work on any of the above denied due to a setup similar to this?

Im on wayy more aggressive tires with similar specs as this and nothing negative from what I've experienced. Haldex failure seems to be the case I'd say. I wouldn't worry about warranty denial because that setup isnt ridiculous by any means. If you were running larger diameter wheels in the rear then yeah totally.

Right?? Okay, that's what I figured. I mean I came to this thread and was reading about everyone's setups and thinking "there's no way..."

If half an inch in width plus a few extra mm were enough to dismantle the Haldex, this thread would be teeming with people experiencing FWD burnouts

I picked some Konig Hypergrams (18x8) and they weight only 17.6lbs. I just don't lie how they stick out in the front. Part of the issue is that I am running Stoptech ST-40 BBK and I had to run 10mm spacers to clear the calipers. So now with the wider wheel and the 10mm spacers it just doesn't look right...

Does anyone have any info on which tires run "true to size?"

Long story short I'm going to run 19x9.5 +40 all around on a 245/35/19.

I wanted to snag a pair of hankook v12's in the meantime just to get them on before putting on a PSS or something comparable and just wanted to see if anyone had any info on the fit. V12's are a decently popular tire and I know people have stretched them a bit in the past. Basically looking for recommendations for a summer tire that doesn't run huge for its size for this setup.

    Thanks!
