Supply and demand. Most people want black interior. Beige seats therefore are going to be a harder sale, thus command a lower price.

Based on years of us trading, buying and selling parts. Light seats get less because they are less desirable to a lot of people. Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay.

Questions you thought were too dumb to ask

235/40 18 tyres on 8.5 18s ET45 wheels, will it stretch or sit Nicely ?

And what if I went 245/40 ? Will it rub ? I have standard suspension but planning to install vogtland with 35mm / 1.34 inch drop all around

    On the stretchy side.

Most likely not, but do 245/35 instead which is closer to the original rolling circumference.

Say what? 235/40/18 is the OEM size and not at all stretched on an 8.5" wide wheel.

The power in my front passenger Recaro stopped working, except for the heated seat. My son was moving it forward when it just stopped. I looked underneath it as best I could and everything looked plugged in??? It seems wierd to me that the seat heater still works, but none of the power functions....any ideas???

There's at least 20 wires connecting the seat to the chassis and the heat is a separate plug from the power functions. It's possible the power one wiggled loose or it actually pulled a wire out of the plug. Time to unbolt the seat and double check them all

I guess I'm more sensitive to 'stretch'.

Must be. Also varies wildly by manufacture and tire model.

Yes 235/40/18 is an OEM setup and it will not stretch on a 8.5 wheel, Cool.

If I use 245/40/18, still OEM overall diameter but a bit wider, will it rub ? I see I have enough space but thought to ask, hence the thread title :)

Other seat power works ? If yes then the 30A fuse is ok, next there is a thermal fuse, this might gone bad.

Here is a picture, there are three, you need to remove the driver underside dash trim, not sure which one is for the seat power, test all of them with a multimeter

You will have to test and see if you rub, most likely not but be aware that it's definitely not OEM diameter. Those are technically 8mm taller. A ~1.22% difference. Not significant but not the same

If my outside door handle on the drivers side sometimes fails to work (inside works perfectly) and all the wiring in the boot looks to be fine, what could be preventing the outside handle from working? Sure look like an idiot having to open passenger door, reach across, open drivers door and then walk around.

Question, just thinking out loud but how come no one has came up with a better fueling solutions for our cars? I read daily about BT builds that just end or die because of fueling. seems the LP side has fixes but not the high pressure without more cam follower wear. Why has no one looked into a belt driven hpfp? Or a dual hpfp adapter housing that bolts to the factory location and allows the follower to push a plate that pushes both pistons? Also secondary port injection via intake manifold spacer? Just run a second pump with supply and return to the tank, and tie it in with megasquirt, spit second, or torqbyte? I mean hell Honda 1.5l single cams can make 500hp! We should be able to push farther..
