Another LCD Screen Replacement thread

Hey all,

Well I decided to replace the faulty LCD screen in my oem cluster after ordering my RS4 cluster since it was just laying around. I have an entire electronics lab at my work with chipquik, low temp solder, super bright magnifying glasses and so on... I apologize I wasn't able to take pics step by step due to the security at my work but here are some before and after repair pics.

The screen is the Genuine (blue ribbon) OEM matching replacement as I feel our cars are worth more than the china made screens, even thought they are a great repair on a budget I figured why not have it done right the first time.

it's not genuine it is fake, it is Chinese they are pulling different tricks so customers believe it is genuine and put blue ribbon tape can you post picture of the other side of LCD .. ? or if you remember the color of the other side ..

I dont have a pic but the other side was a grey/dark green ribbon looked strikingly similar to the OEM I pulled out. Regardless is matches damn good.

so this a new one I haven't see yet, good copy , if you have a chance next time to take photo of the back I would like to add to my collection of LCD
This is how OEM Genuine LCD would look like installed

usually OEM LCD has serial numbers printed on the top of the blue ribbon or on the bottom of the ribbon
