    DS bipipe keeps popping off

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Im on a base tune from EPL, I've put almost 1k miles on it since finishing the build but in the past few days my DS bipipe has popped off twice while getting on it in second or third gear. I'm currently running an 034 tbb with stock bi pipes, do you guys suggest new clamps or a bipipe upgrade? I'm kind of nervous going for my final tune on Tuesday with this tbb and stock bi pipe setup.

I'm down the street from there...could prob give you a couple.

OR you can just go to home depot and get the nice (thinner) screw clamps...it's actually what I'm using now and it works fine as long as you torque it down with a socket.

I'd say any clamp will do while you get t-bolts

i have "regular" hose clamps from Lowes with some shitty silcone TBB (chinese) and stock bi-pipes and have not had a problem, even with the clamps hanging over the edge of the TBB

T-bolt clamps are likely your answer, indeed.

I've also heard (no idea myself) of people using hairspray to help seal.

I suppose, if you haven't, you could use a socket to tighten the existing clamps as much as possible for the time being?

I'm having the same exact issue with my 034 tbb! Everytime I tighten the clamps they slide off the tbb. I'll look for those clamps too. The tbb is super thick. Mine are cranked right now.

EPL should have some... any reputable tuning shop should have some hose clamps for ya. Shouldn't epl be pressure testing and boost leak testing it before they set out to tune it?

New OEM tbb and normal hose clamps tightened enough is the best combo in the end.

Yeah I guess I'll give them a call tomorrow to see if they have any. I'm definitely gonna look into an upgraded bipipe though, I don't wanna be nervous everytime I get on it especially on the highway.

I've blown through 3 stock tbb's since being stage 3 so I think some thin clamps on that tbb will work best. Wish the 034 wasn't so thick

I don't know if you have Fastenal stores/warehouses out there, but they sell just about any size t-bolt clamp imaginable. The stock clamps are a bologna sandwich. Change those.

Those clamps are clearly bottomed out and cannot physically tighten any further. They are the wrong size.
