Why did AZ shrink its DB/narrow its queries for threads (by date)?

It seems the queries for threads in some sections now are limited to a rather recent span of time...

Sections that had hundreds of pages of threads now have 2 or 3. I also can't find threads via. search that I believe to be older than this period.

I also can't find an announcement about this -- but that doesn't mean there wasn't one.

What was done, and why?

Answer:
The "Show threads from.." setting was set to "Last month"

Perhaps I changed this inadvertently when updating my time zone and profile? Or was this setting changed for us, globally, for performance reasons?

Some sections are set to 30 days. It depends how active they are. But yes, you can change them at the bottom of the page.

For those interested, you can over rule a section's default setting in your user profile. By default, our profiles defer to the section's setting
