    Clicking Noise from Purge Valve

    Hi,

Every time I try to figure out any active issue in my car, I will end up in finding another one.... LOL. (Shouldn't keep a 14 yr old 225k miles 1.8t this long???)

Okay, so today afternoon I was trying to locate a sound which I was getting from the front timing belt area which I've mentioned in the post yesterday.

While looking through, I found that there is a clicking noise coming from the purge valve on top of the airbox. The sound was not there when I started the engine, but came ON in some 30 seconds. And it continued making this clicking noise and I was able to feel that by touching on the purge valve.

There are no fault codes when I scanned using Vag com and no CEL. I then started the engine again and the clicking noise started with in some 30 seconds and stayed there. The part number on the valve is 058133459

Is this supposed to be normal for a purge valve to click like this in the below video?

I searched here before posting, but I couldn't find much information on this.

In fact, I found a post where it says that it makes that rhythmic noise at times only. I couldn't verify whether this sound was continuous or not from that post.

Otherwise, why I should struggle this much to take a video, upload in youtube and create thread here :)
