Is it normal for our cars to make a hissing sound when parked?
Is it normal for our cars to make a hissing sound when parked? Sounds like someone is frying an egg on my exhaust. I understand the ac has to drain, but on my exhaust just doesn't seam right. Anyone else having the same type sound. Just wondering if anyone has or if they have heard of a tsb on this.
I searched the forums, but had no success. I also didn't know what you'd call this.
Please advise. Thank you.
Regards,
Jorge

I wonder if wrapping the section of the exhaust where it is dripping on would help. Perhaps a shield or something over that section...blah....German engineering.

The only sound I have that could be close would be when I first turn my car on and tap the gas and it sounds like the Predator. Haha any one know what that is too?

I get that too - it's normal. Our cars sound like sick tractors after a cold start...

Yeah I get this too. I thought it might have been due to my aftermarket exhaust, which I put on before it got hot this year, but I guess it happens stock as well.

this only happens if you have an aftermarket exhaust, the pipes are bigger and the water drips down on it.
