NYC C5 owners Meet ???

I bought this up in another thread so decided it needed it's own. I'm just throwing the idea out there, I believe this was discussed once before but I don't know what ever became of it. So what do NYC C5 owners think of us having a local meet ? Somewhere we can all agree on, it could be a monthly thing, a yearly thing or whatever but I think it's a good idea for us to meet each other, look at each others cars, discuss future plans, we can even probably help each other out with those future projects. What do you guys think, good idea ? Bad idea ?

I think this is a great idea...I don't see too many modded A6s around, would be great to hobnob wih fellow C5 enthusiasts. I am out in Western Suffolk County, so can meet up sonewhere in middle if that works. I do travel a lot for work though so I am not around that much, but weekends would work, or a day during the week sometime.

Where do you guys think would be a good spot to meet, I figure we can agree on a meet spot first then decide on a date and time. Green Acres mall have a empty lot where the circuit city was.

I say green acres mall in the circuit city parking lot since it closed down the lot is pretty empty. Once we all agree on the spot the date & time can follow cause I want it to be a good turn out.

I may have to put my ride on a boat and some of this from the UK, Love your City and your Country to that fact. Worked in NYC for a year and fell head over heels for the place. Be nice to see some photos of the meet guys

Don't make it ghetto, and make it low car friendly. My car rides like a tank so shitty NYC roads need to be avoided as much as possible. Pick something outside of the city a little. Go like White Plains or something nice.

I'll be in New York City November 30-December 9. Staying in Manhattan. I will not have my car with me but would love to have a few beers with the C5ers.
Get this thing going so that when I visit in December you will have the network sorted out.

How about somewhere on western long island? Pretty central for the tri-state, and doobiesdaddy can take the LIRR when he's in town to come join us, we should get some bi-weekly or monthly meets goin. I usually do bi-weekly meets in the winter with a local import forum at lynbrook diner right on sunrise highway. I usually meet up with some guys there bs go inside eat come out and bs some more. We could cruise to Roosevelt field mall from there for a photoshoot. Just throwing some ideas out there...

Well this weekend is Audi/VW Fall show'n'go on Sunday the 23rd at englishtown, and next weekend is H2Oi in Ocean City, MD so I don't think either of those will work.

Only thing with Roosevelt field is sometimes the rent-a-cops kick u out...so it's better to meet somewhere else and go there for pics, good lighting for night shots.
