gravity bleed brakes and still have spongy pedal??

My rear caliper got messed up so I replaced the caliper and added brake fluid and began bleeding brakes, person in car pumping up brakes while another bleed brakes making sure no bubbles on each wheel, doing this caused the blinking brake light on the dash go away, my car can still stop but I have to push pedal all the way down, can a b6 a4 be gravity bleed like we did, or does it need to be power bleed? Also we aren't finding any leaks from new caliper or rest of car. So im lost and dont like having spongy brakes so any ideas would be nice

Trust me there's air in there somewhere ( unless u have a leak )
How much have u bled out of each corner?
I usually go for 8+ oz of fluid.

    Procedure:
Brake operator knows not to push brake all the way down.
After brake is pushed then and only then bleeder opens valve and closes it before brake operator lets up.
    SIMPLE!

    Good Luck.

It has been my experience that even after bleeding things may not feel right. Give it some drive time and bleed again, all should be well.

You really should get a power bleeder or speed bleeders.

I had to bleed them 3 times, with some driving in between each time.
After that the brake pedal felt normal again.

Once had my someone do it for me with a power bleeder and I still had air.
So I am not trusting that system entirely.
