Speedometer Not Working after what I did

I pulled the airbag light bulb out so I can get my car inspected and I noticed my speedometer is not working.
Everything on the dash is working except for the speedometer.

    What could that be?

    Fuse maybe?

    Let me know

Maybe the face plate is not properly seated behind the needle properly and the needle is stuck. I have seen that happen before.

I thought of it when I first saw it so I took the cluster out again and lined-up everything, made sure the needle can move freely but still the same... The Rpm and other stuff works. It's just the speedometer that doesn't.

Check your connectors, make sure you did not loosen them, if they're ok put the bulb back in and see if the speedo comes back, if it does than you know where the problem is!

    UPDATE:
I've checked everything and the speedometer is still not working. All other stuff works.
I think it's the speedometer motor where the needle lays is broken.
What other options do I have? replace the cluster or replace just the speedometer motor?
Where can I buy it if it's just the motor?

How do I replace the instrument cluster? If I buy the cluster with same model as my car, is it plug and play?

    Please let me know.

    Thank you

Connect to cluster with VCDS, and drop it into Output Test Mode. It will command all needles to move. This will verify if something is actually broken with the servo or what have you.

I believe you can also look in the cluster's measuring blocks to see if it is receiving the Vehicle Speed Signal (VSS) - obviously you check this whilst the car is moving.

I guess I'm gonna need the VAG-COM (which I don't have yet) to do that?

Yes sir. And I think output test mode only works if it's genuine/registered. Not certain if that holds true for the cluster stuff or not.
