    New Audi owner :) Turbo?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hello All,
I am finally a new Audi owner
    2013 Audi A5 premium plus

They did not have any S5's

Anything I can do to add to my car?

Anything to help with the "turbo"?

Faster and making it look better.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

The color is Ibis White on black

Love the car, but performance is not all there.

    So you have 2.0?

It's almost too new to do much to it. Best option is a stage 1 tune right now. It most likely will void any warranty you have. Just settle down and enjoy it for a while.

If you go with APR you can switch programs through your stock cruise control arm and lock it. This way when you go get dealer work you can switch it back to stock ecu and the dealer will never know. I did that for the last year of my warranty

I think you need to do some reading up on TD1 flags. This is not accurate advice.

This is no longer the case. The dealer will know. Research thoroughly before you pull the trigger on any tune if you have warranty concerns.

This is highly debated but from what I have personally experienced they did not void any warranty work on my car. Even if you do throw a TD1 Flag this doesnt mean you will be denied warranty work. But for whats it worth, maybe ask your local Audi dealer how mod friendly they are. I could be wrong

What things? TD1? It's a code that Audi applies to your car when they find out you've modded it. Try this. The most common solution to improving power, particularly on the turbo cars, is "chip-tuning". There are numerous companies (one of which is APR, mentioned above) that will reprogram the engine computer to provide more power (mostly through programming it to provide more turbo boost). This can trigger a TD1 flag to be put on "your car's permanent record", if it is scanned while in for service. Theoretically, tuning your car shouldn't pose warranty problems unless the tune is the cause of the issue. But unfortunately that has not been the case for an increasing number of people.

Just wait for the S5 since you're worried about your warranty. Or go buy a used q5 that you can mod without worrying about the warranty.
