OG iPhone user switched to Android-- will NEVER go back

Seriously, I had to pay full price for mine (600 for phone, ~40 for tax and shipping) because my upgrade got used by someone else :(

Finally settled on and ordered a case today-Incipio silicrylic. Ordered a black one and then found out that apparently tmobile has this exclusive blue one that looks awesome, oh well.

Yeah I got hella lucky (assuming I don't get it and it's a demo model in a new box LOL) I already ordered my simple Diztronic TPU Case to match the pebble blue. Woohoo here's to hoping tomorrow gets here fast.

Just got the Pebble Blue Diztronic TPU case w/ screen protector. $12.40 shipped to my door and is almost a perfect compliment to the PB color! WOW. Even the screen protector is quality. Anyone with a PB S3 should jump on it, even if it's not your primary case.

How are you guys liking the S3? I had three android phones (droid, droidx, incredible) and then I got the 4S when it came out. I got it cuz I was addicted to upgrading roms, kernels, etc and I figured I'd try an iPhone for a while and not waste time messing with my phone anymore. I will say I have enjoyed the 4S (and I have it jailbroken, themed, etc.) but I got my Nexus 7 last week [read: f*ck you google and asus for your terrible shipping coordination] and it is amazing! The iPhone 5 will have to be spectacular or I'll be getting the next Nexus phone.

Yeah, iOS just seems like apple sits on incremental features and then for some reason everyone goes nuts when they are introduced. I can't fault them for having a smooth operating system but considering no widgets it should be.

So far, Jellybean with Project Butta on my Nexus 7 has been great. I have had 0 force closes or reboots (which was a problem on my old gingerbread phones). I rooted it on day one and have been running Paul O'Brien's roms. They are great.

I really like my S3 and I haven't even rooted it yet. Superb ,so far.

I also had the Galaxy S and S2 prior to getting this. I also owned the Galaxy Omnia phones before the Galaxy line.

I'm not rooted either and I think this phone is the bees knees!
Wife has a 4S and the screen is just so puny! I do however like the convenience of iTunes.

Also no problems with battery life. I drop >10% or so every 4 hours so no complaints!
Now just waiting for CM10!

My S3 is running the CM10 Jellybean preview (haven't lost my IMEI yet lol and I've flashed a lot before that) I'm going to stick with CM10 as it's already pretty smooth for a dev preview.

A62: have you seen the screen on the new iPhone (engadget among tons of places) it's the same width but mega tall.
Looks totally cheesy IMO and hideous to boot.

Why would you lose your IMEI? And I agree the "leaked" iphone 5 bodies look goofy.

It hasn't been discovered exactly what's causing it but people are getting closer and closer each day on how to backup your IMEI / restoring and hopefully a sureshot method will be released soon.

Ahh that is scary. There's another reason for me to stick to nexus phones when I upgrade in the fall.

Yeah but if you don't have a GSM based carrier you're all set as IMEI is bound to GSM only. Others (CDMA) use ESN.

Depends on what phone you have, what version of android you have, and whether you want a one click tool or you want to do it yourself.

I have a nexus and do everything myself with the android SDK. Post up some details and we can prob point you in a more focused direction. Also check out the xda developers site.

Finally ditched my old ghetto flip phone for a new Sprint Galaxy SIII. Love the phone, but Sprint should be charged with false advertising. They say the entire Atlanta region has 4G LTE on their coverage maps, but I have been able to pick up 4G for a grand total of 30 seconds. Not even long enough to run a speed test, much less actually use. Pretty stupid.
