Exclamation help removing intake manifold. (doing carbon cleaning)

so, this has all been pretty straight forward until i ran into this issue about 30 minutes ago. i have eveything disconnected except the 3 connectors way down low. they are impossible to get to with the manifold in place(i think one might be broken too) so i was going to remove the manifold, then take them off. however, my manifold does not want to unseat. im assuming this is probably the injectors being stuck not actually the manifold...but any tips you guys can give me? just pull really hard? all my fuel lines are disconnected, support bracket removed, bolts/nuts removed. i can shake the manifold back and forth a bit because its loose...just cant pull it off. thanks!

They do tend to stick a bit from time to time. I typically get one end loose and then the other.
Gonna push this little K03 until it can take no more

Don't forget before and after pics! I can't wait to dive into this project, but my week long brake job has me a little tired of working on my car (and my wife won't let me for a while)>

    x2....

Have to balance the work on the honeydo list, her van, etc.. with time spent on the A4. Sometimes just want to have a break. Been staring at the box of uber pads and menz stuff, plus knowing the carbon needs to be done but needing a break. Then I freakin rear ended someone, so now I need to waste the funds on my deductible.

Well I got it off... However this clip broke on one of the injectors. How important is it and can I get away with using it how it is?

I would say it is important. If i had to do it again i would buy new clips, orings, gasket too. Make sure your injectors are out of the manifold and seated in the slot correctly before putting the manifold back on. When i went to put mine back together it started leakin fuel.

FYI I did reuse the clip with one "leg" broken off. It looked to just be a retainer for a spacer the keeps the manifold from seating too far down onto the injector. Took the car for a short drive(up to operating temp) and no issues.

I hear you on that one.

My car the injectors came our with the intake manifold which was a pain in the ass to deal with the mass of wires and everything else that was coming along with it.
