Removing the upper battery plastic shield

Sorry for the newbie question but I am about to build and stereo and need access to the battery. I see there is a large plastic cover that covers the entire area beyond the fire wall where the battery is located. How do I remove this cover to gain access to that area...
    Thanks for the help all,

Remove the rubber molding that is on the edge near the engine bay.

    Just pull it off.

You can remove just the battery cover if you need. Just slide it in the directions of the arrows on top of the cover.

Theres a small clip on the drivers side, be careful. Use a small flathead and pry it up and work the cover out.

Really I never had any clip, not doubting you though.

Probably a B7 thing... I don't have that either. Once the weatherstripping gasket comes out, the whole piece slides out of the windshield cowl and out of the bay on my B6.
