Does the spec call for LEDs with Vf of 3.3V or did you come up with that on your own? I'm asking because I have a load of LEDs with Vf of 3.7V .

I'm sure I could use a resistor to bring each one down to the right level, but wanted to know if there was reasoning behind your choice.

    Thanks for answering my questions.

My question is not meant to be argumentative, but born out of ignorance, why are we seeing this as an anchor? Are you talking about launch control only?

Surely this is not in regard to the manufacturer restriction, something I can debunk immediately.

Just trying to understand where you are coming from on this?

Because it doesn't even have a aftermarket mapping option, not yet at least. When I hit certain speeds, it just stops giving. If you can tell me how to get passed the limiters on this trans i would be in debt. I did GIAC stage ll and the limitations are still in place. Grrr!

What limitations? From what I've been reading your car stops you at 130mph, where the stock limiter is? Almost ANY tune would remove the limiter. I don't see how a Giac off the shelf tune does not. If you still have a limiter in place it's probably a faulty tune.

Contact GIAC, or whoever tuned the car. If you are stage 2 with pulley there should be no reason your car is limited to 130mph. And if they don't fix the issue get a different company tune. Apr/unitronic/revo all remove the limiter at stage 1, and almost every other tuner

Not necessarily. Something must be wrong with the file if it is still limited. Contact GIAC, or your tuner and they should be able to work with you on the issue

Speed limiter is removed from stage 1 with GIAC

Example with a stage 2 tune:
Scroll down to bottom of page, you will see it mentions speed limiter removed.

Seeing if I can help here with the anchor question.... I believe NAS meant it is currently his anchor keeping him back, not that he wanted to find an anchor for launch control. That's just what I interpreted him to mean.

They never put in stage 1 software i bet, just the stage 2. Im guessing the stage 2 doesnt do that because it should have already done by your 1 one.

It wouldn't matter. Anything above stage 1, and stage 1 included has the limiter removed. If you follow the link I posted you will also see that stage 2 also removes the limiter. Contact GIAC, there should be no reason for your limiter to still be in place.

Well, I can tell you what I tried to do... I brought my 2011 in for a new set of rubber and an install of the Eibach 1.2" lowering kit. My tire guy and I were unable to find the key for my wheel locks inside my car. It seems as if the previous owner or their mechanic forgot to replace it in the trunk! The lugs are recessed so deeply into these peelers that he wasn't willing to try any of his shop tricks, out of fear of damaging them.

Quick trip to Keyes Audi revealed the fact that these are not Audi locks! The bozo before me put aftermarket locks on here and lost the key! Here's a final video of another tire shop trying to use a lock gripper tool to force one of them off. These guys told me to bring it back tomorrow and they'll weld lugs onto each lock. Wondering if tack welds would even hold up against such rotational force... The last shop must have really torqued them down too...

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZvC3SIhFXU

I'm at a loss. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I may just drive around to some big tire shops and hope one has a lucky key.

There are universal key sets out there. A good tire shop might have the set to those.

They reflashed me today. Won't get the chance to test her out for at least a few days. It seems a bit more paddle responsive already though. Im eager to re-dyno my #'s since GIAC told me the 404whp was kinda low to whats expected from they're current tune. Wish me luck...

Glad to hear you got it resolved. As for the transmission, don't count on any type of remap/tune. Unless you decide to do a swap to 6MT, nothing you can do to increase performance; tranny wise.

GIAC doesn't do dual pulley tunes for the C6A6. His is the single pulley stage II

Not from the dyno I had. It flatlined at 6000. Not even an accurate measurement. I am going to try to get into Goodspeed this week for another dyno with the proper software version, and the correct fan velocities. The sheet at that point is a true representation of what my car is doing.
