Fixed rear bumper after a van drove in to me but i took the wheel lining out and found this strange thing . Is it crap from rain water , car shampoo ..., its weird ??? I had a light knock on the back and i hope this was it. Looks like a lifeform from another planet.

Nice Nas! How much did they run you again? This could be next for me since I'm becoming content with my exterior for now.

Oh how I wished you did not post the link to those mirror caps. I have to get them now! lol

As far as the installation goes, was it a pretty straight forward process?

Yea very straight forward but requires patience and a steady amount of pressure to release all the clips. I broke one when taking the first cap and learned my lesson before doing the second. They're the type of clip that feels like you're going to snap the part right in half trying to take it off, but then right before you do the clip gives first.

Also, I found it not necessary to remove the mirror glass from the wires that control the auto dimming feature and instead just snaked it out of the opening in the cap. The connections are very VERY fragile and I knew those would break if I tried removing them and I didn't want to have to but a new heated mirror too so I left it on. Just be careful and rest it on the edge of the door with the window rolled down.

Today I did new wheels and tires. The wheels I went with were Piano Black 21X8.5 SQ5 OE. Iwent down s tire size from 245/35/21 to a Nero GT 255/30/21.

I think that tire is the perfect size for this cars set up with the B-12 Pro-kit.

Coming soon: Piano blk OEM RS6 C6 interior kit, OEM RS6 C6 full brake swap, RVC, OEM C6.5 RS6 Body kit.
    OE RS

Make sure you set some time aside for buffing. Clay usually scratches a car and it shows up on black like nobody's business. I just bought a Paintless dent removal kit, so I should be doing some minor cosmetics this weekend too. It's a glue-type kit and I've never done this before, so wish me luck.

Anyone here use a PDR kit before?

What did you do to your C6 today?

We've got tons of cleaners and polishes I just never had clay. Saturday will be an all day detail =D

Good luck with PDR. I've only got one so it's not killing me yet. The rust is however....

Hard to gage actual hp increase but it definitely woke up the engine. Others have said it's equivalent to doing a stage one in terms of performance gains but since I haven't driven a car with an APR or GIAC stage 1 tune, I can't support or refute the claim.

I bought it off of a forum member; so I don't have much invested but even if I had paid full price, it'd be well worth it.
