It's just the reflection, was kind of an overcast day and lots of gravel/pavement that was probably getting reflected.
It was very hard to find pictures of the Daytona Gray A6 with tinted windows so I wasn't sold on what percentage to go... but glad I stayed a bit lighter for more of the 'classy' look.

Awesome. Getting it done tomorrow morning. Do you have any pictures on how its looking for you? Did it make a big difference? I have 35% on my TL but the interior on that car is white so it looks pretty light even with the windshield being tinted at 35% :(.

It really looks no different than my profile pic. With all the windows limo along with all black interior on a white car it looks dark. I was going to do 35% but decided to do 50% on the winshield so my wife can drive the car and I can pretend the winshield has always been that dark .

Haha I see, you have limo outside :O, I would love limo but here in NY they ticket like crazy since the law allows NO TINT at all. 35% on the windshield would be great but I have problems seeing at night if its raining in my TL and like you, other people drive my cars and they have lots of problems driving with 35% windshield tint, hopefully 50% is going to be better.
In terms of bright sun/lights has 50% helped? How much did you pay? I am paying $120.
Thanks!

I drove it home like 10 miles after sitting most of the day in 110 degree weather. So it was hard to tell but seemed to make somehwat of a difference. I paid $80 from a good friend for the winshield and then a top strip when the tint settles.

Sorry Man that sucks! I preach to my wife weekly and try to enforce the no curb rule when she drives and I crunched mine last week and she was in the car and just looked at me grinning from ear to ear.

Don't you just hate when that happens? The grinning part that is. Curbing your wheels sucks, the mocking is worse.

@ FuchsB and SinCity, That's the worst part. I preach the same thing with my wife and of course I am the first one to curb the rim...She says I should be punished and have to drive the Toyota FJ for a month. Thank goodness I have to be to work earlier than her!

Finally decided to have the rear de-badged and glad I did. We also installed a full LED interior kit and started chatting on the sub layout in the trunk set up or as my wife says loss of trunk space. I personally feel its real-estate well used

Put a 60 day extension temp tag on. Dealership screwed up the paperwork so the DMV wasn't able to issue real plates yet.
Also, submitted an application for personalized plates.

From what I understand, the install on a 2012 is much easier than say... Uh a 2009.

Today I fitted the custom LED license plate lights that are out for the C6 into my C7. Took a bit of time using a dremel but it was a learning experience, almost closed the damn garage door on the car....luckily it went up....too many boxes have to remodel the garage tomorrow morning. Closed that garage door on my old BMW left two small scratches, luckily this time it detected the car and went right up.

Really hate that garage door the sensors are annoying sometimes they work, sometimes they dont, luckily they worked today......I inspected for damage but didn't see anything. I am going to look first thing tomorrow morning, I inspected it using a LED flash light and the car is dirty so couldn't see much...however I didn't feel a scratch or anything.

There are times I have parked in the garage with the ass or front end hanging out. I am always afraid I will close the door out of habit... or one of the kids will. I don't think my sensors would work.... and end up making me sick to my stomach.

My third garage (where I park the Audi) is kinda tight and I back in to park. I actually moved the sensors up the track to the point that they will detect the nose of the car (screw the dog) and not allow the door to start closing if I am not in far enough. I tested it and it works. Door won't move if the nose is too close.

Well I couldn't resist myself, I grabbed a dozen flashlights (LED/Halogen) set them all up pointing at the car, turned on all the lights in the garage and the flood lights outside on...and got to work LOL. The only place the damage could have been was the end of the trunk or the bumper....nothing at all. Thinking about it..... I was watching the rear view cam...when I didn't see the garage door come down I got out of the car and saw it going up....the only way damage could have occurred was if the garage door had kept coming down. Thankfully I didn't see it come down.
Got me worried so sick. I hate the thought of a tiny rock chip on my car, so glad nothing happened. First thing tomorrow going to rearrange and "remodel" the garage.

Yeah, it was easy. The entire interior took less than 15min.

Started the front end rebuild today. Got the drivers side done. It'll be another 2 weeks before I have enough down time to get the other side finished. I did install the H&R sway bar up front too, it's been in the garage for over six months mocking me, rear has been done. Spun the coilovers down a touch to give it a bit more nose down, only about 3-4 threads, it made a subtle difference. It also was enough to put the front end out of alignment but that's gotta wait until the front ends done...
