Q?: Bleeding a DRY Hydraulic System? Any precautions to take

Getting ready to finalize my build and wanted to have a discussion on the following:
    -DRY Power Steering Hydraulics system

*Fresh Build, all new PS lines & Res. tank & pump
-I'm mainly worried of frying my Powersteering pump... no fluid/a spinning pump = impending doom/unhappy nick.

Just fill the PS reserve, cycle the steering wheel lock to lock a few times & add fluid as needed? Im just worried as the PS reserve is downstream from the pump you could say...

Never dealt with a totally dry hydraulic system, as why I'd appreciate your .02cents!

    Thanks

I beleive you want to jack the front off the ground and turn the wheel side to side while filling the reservoir. Once you have the fluid full turn the car on and do 10 full rotations of the steering wheel and add fluid if needed.

pull the fuel pump fuse and crank it over until the level stops dropping. then bleed it out normally

I use a syringe and manually bleed it at the connector behind the motor on the pass. side. Makes life easier and harder to ruin the pump--plus no foaming.
