lots of new parts same issue and no codes...... I need your help please

In Nov I purchased flyingfish Tial 605 Pearl Avant. This weird thing happened on my first pull leaving his house to drive cross country. Car starts to make boost then burbles and looses power and wont build boost, it gets between 5-10psi and then boom the burble/mini backfire and then no power. it drives fine idles fine and most of the time it pulls hard with no issue. A handful of times the car will be pulling hard at high RPM and the car will have a abrupt cut in power, like you pulled the plug. This issue comes and goes and I always have 0 codes thrown from it. I have found in my testing that with the aquamist off it still has the promlem without the small backfires. One other thing I noticed is that when its having this issues you don't fell the boost even build up at all before it does it. The boost gauge reads boost between 5-10 but you don't feel it. When its running good I can feel the boost build and start to pull.

Fast FWD to Today first time I have driven it in two weeks. Drive to work and it runs amazing with 0 issues, text the old owner and say I think I finally fixed it. I was pumped..... Well on the way home boom same issues. I hate how it just comes and goes with no real rime or reason why it decides to act up.

I have replaced over the last 4 months in order.

bypassed N-249 valve
new 710N DVs
updated to FSI coilpacks deleted ICMs
Plugs
checked for boost leaks, found some small vacuum leaks replaced a few lines
coolant temp sensor
N-75
New aquamist HFS-4 controller to replace HFS-3

Old owner did EGT's and O2's within 5-10k miles

Any ideas from you guys would be great.. Do you think I could have a bad ECU? Not sure what else there is to replace, especially when I don't get any codes at all.

sounds like an a/f problem. log and see what your maf and map readings are.

That car needs to be tuned to your new altitude. If I'm not mistaken, that car has a higher elevation tune. It will not run right until it is flashed for where you are located now. Also, the waste gates are set to open at a much higher psi for the higher elevation tunes. Ask me how I know! I bought a 605 car from that area myself and had all the same issues. Good luck Greg!

It had this same issue in CO and the car has been tuned to seal level @EPL. It ran great great all day on the dyno for tony and the issue poped up on the test drive at end of day. Tony said it could be the N-249. After diving tonight I feel it does it more under load. Like up a hill or when I have people in the car.

Run a test on your G31 MAP sensor.. sounds like it could be on its way out..
As someone also said before, check your EGT's...

Very strange. It's not the aquamist. And most likely not EGTs. 5-10 psi on on 605s is NOT limp mode. Limp mode on 605s is about 18-20 psi. Very strange.

Yup I just don't get it, its driving me nuts, every time I think I finally figured it out it starts doing it again. To add to the fun im getting blue/white smoke when driving super slow like creeping down my dirt road to my house, also just noticed it smokes when im driving in vacuum. Doesn't seem to be using anymore oil or coolant. Guess its time to start thinking about a built motor once I get this issue sorted out. Just ordered new EGT's and MAF just so I know that is ruled out. and leaves nothing else but trying a different ECU. Wish was doing it all the time so it would be easy to log the car, I will be driving it again this weekend and I will be ready to log if it acts up. I can't wait to truly enjoy this thing when its running 100%

No only sounds like misfire when the meth kicks in, if meth is turned off then it just doesn't want to build boost with no misfire sound with 0 codes.

Looks ok, one thing the old owner did not replace, noticed some oil around the pancake valve. Thinking of pulling the trigger on the vast catch can system.

just installed a new MAF at work and took it for a rip.... ran better than it ever has, fingers crossed its fixed..
