Alternator replacement question, need some help.

I just replaced my alternator and belt on my 93 CS, w/ the 2.8. It won't crank over now. Battery is only 7 months old, but has been sitting for maybe 5 months. I had the battery tested at Napa yesterday. Due to my schedule , (they only could charge and then test it for like 15-20 min.) They said it "looked" to be fine. BUT,the car has been sitting for a few months with the battery unplugged. But I think its still totally drained.

It sounds like the fuel pump is working, radio comes on. Heater blower, headlights. But it still won't crank. I believe we were getting a couple "clicks" from the starter, but nothing more. But to me it seems the battery is still just too dead to crank anything. We tried jumping it, but nothing. It fired fine with a jumpstart about a month or so back, before I swapped the alternator. Is it possible the battery is just too low to do any more? Just thinking what else I am missing. Everything seems to be hooked back up. I have yet to check fuses, or give the starter a whack.

    Any ideas gentlemen?

i would try a known working battery, any clicking generally means it has a little juice but not enough to crank. i would try either a different battery or jumping it it with another car.

I will try that tonight. I just haven't had a lot of time.

How you been Ruffiano? Any more dyno days lately?

Got 'er figured out. I crawled under the car when I got home and noticed one wire not hooked up to the starter. Hooked it up, and she fired up. Thanks for the help.

    nice glad it worked out.

As for dyno time, I have only been twice. However that should change in the next little bit, built a new engine in January and put on a bigger turbo, just need to get tuning done then hit the rollers again for some more tuning and to find out what kind of numbers its making!
