cant you ask them to transfer the deposit towards the R8?..
Also, i am at BC and i think the dealer is lying to ya on not being able to give back the deposit.
any dealers here "should" be able to return the deposit back.

Well i want a used R8, they'll only transfer it to a new R8 from them.

They also said they don't have a waiting listing for anyone else who wants a RS5... weird...

Did you pay deposit with credit card? Because if you did, chances are they haven't charged it yet and they are just fooling you around. If you paid by cash, good luck, a decent dealer, however, would honor your change of mind and return your cash.

Update: I just asked them for the commission number and they said:
I do not have a Commission # as of yet, should have it soon.

from what i know, you get a commission # as soon as the order is placed ... theyre giving you a load of b/s. call audi of canada

I believe that until there is an assigned production week, orders are just sitting in an order bank. Nothing is happening. There is no priority outside of your dealer allocation. Accordingly, the dealer should give you back your deposit or allow you to apply it to a future purchase of an R8.

also next time go to Audi of Mississauga, very good service, and they actually gave back my deposit when i ordered the first time

I called Audi Canada, they said if they didn't give me a commission number it means they didn't get a car for me yet, but the dealer is saying they do, that they already got an allocation of 3.

Audi Canada also said i CAN cancel it if i want to and the most they can keep is the administrative fees.

So i'll pay them a visit tomorrow.

Today owasco told me that your car was resold the same day. So you must have gotten out of it eh? They sold the 3 they are getting. I can't get one. I'll check the toronto dealerships tomorrow.
