Trading in my 2009 Premium Audi A4, for a 2009 Prestige Audi a4 Quattro...
So i was perusing through the Audi stock here in NC, and i came across a deal i couldn't turn down, I just purchased my 2009 A4 premium in December, However it wasn't EXACTLY what i was looking for... i wanted it black and in the prestige package... well I found EXACTLY what I was looking for, for a price that is unbeatable... the only down side of it is.... is that it has 55,000 miles on it. Eh... IM a driver, IM going to do some stuff to the car... IM not going to necessarily care about the mileage.
So you guys think that it's a good idea to swap the car milage vs. fully loaded... i love my Audi a lot. but this one is what i wanted... gah what do you think!?

In this day and age with technology and "know-how," vehicles are lasting longer & longer all the time! Proper maintenance & care it will go forever! Get it checked out by a mechanic or if it's a CPO car you're OK!

What would, or would there be an out-of--pocket difference to making the trade? What are the miles on your current 09?
FWIW, life's too short to drive something that you compromised on when you could have driven what you truly desired. I was once in your position, know EXACTLY how you feel, and all things being reasonable and affordable, believe you should get what you want. IMHO.

the one i have has 44k miles on it. not really, no out of pocket trade.
I really wanted the prestige it just wasn't obtainable at the time of purchase when i needed a car. ( driving a car that got 9 miles to the gallon wasn't exactly good for someone who was PCSin cross country LOL)

So this would be a staight one for one trade?

if theres no money out of pocket, all you are doing is gaining 10k miles on the odo I think I would do this every time to go from P- to prestige

i believe the only thing out of pocket would be the fact that i would have to get an extended warranty :/

Jordan what size rims are on your car... the ones on the new one look identical...

They are identical. They're 18s. Mine is a premium plus but the original owner did not like the P+ wheels and paid for an upgrade to the prestige package wheels.
Edit: here is a pic when I first picked the car up - same wheels as yours. They are pretty nice

Have you put any sort of mods into your car? If not, I would say go for it.
If you have, I would save the time/effort/money.

Yeah - I would make the change. And, at the end of the day, the difference in miles is not that much.

Lucky! That's a very good deal. I would do the same anyday! Actually I would trade in my 2.0 for a 3.2 any day if it was the same price ! Good

I honestly don't see a big bump of differences between Premium+ vs. Prestige. I think I would be happier with the 10k less miles. Now, if you upgraded to a sports package + prestige car, that would be totally different story!

No nav= No Deal.
Get a car with as many upgrades as possible. Otherwise you will look like a bored animal in a cage after sitting in a bone stock Audi.
I drove one (Bone Stock Loaner) today while my wheels were getting swapped out. That is a very lame experience after coming out of my S-Line Prestige.
Don't make the mistake I made with my B7. Required buying everything aftermarket and retrofitting every available option. Cost me a ton!

This is true, but it's not what the OP has. They are going from a P- NON quattro to Prestige Quattro, which is a huge difference. Headlights and quattro alone make it worth it. NAudi_A4, do it!

OP has '09 Premium, not Premium+ ... trim stuff between Premium and Prestige in '09 was significant, as was the price ... IIRC you could get the B&O for less in the Prestige package.

yup, Audi = Quattro, why settle for less.
Straight up trade ... sweet spot, no brainer ... 10K miles, non-issue.
OP, go for it - you'll be glad

My bad, just skimmed and thought jordancl's post was from the OP when he said something about P+. Definitely big difference from P- to Prestige. And getting an Audi without quattro is a joke to me, so obviously get the quattro!

I don't understand the big obsession with having nav built into the car. I have owned cars with it built in and I found that I did not to use it all that often. In today's times you have phones and very reasonably priced nav systems that you can use when needed.
I'd rather not drop the money to upgrade to nav and use my $300-400 garmin (which is easier to update) that I can transfer from car to car (and keep when I get rid of a car). To each their own though I guess.

Could not agree more ... built in Nav is overpriced eye candy, that said with rear camera is cool eye candy .
Myself, looking to eventually install high end 5" Garmin GPS that I can fold down to see my non-Nav screen.
Plus, Garmin map updates easier/cheaper than OEM.

I like the nav, use it every day for traffic and like having the map up there. Plus allows for more fun things that can be done. As for actually going places I need it for directions, hardly use it for that. I like the look it adds and think it makes the console a bit better looking with the button lay out.

It's not just the Nav. Bro, you have got to get a Prestige Package if you can afford it.
Seriously, get a loaded model, not some Nav on the dash BS. Power Seats etc.
