    Coilovers Installation Question

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I will be installing my new ST Coilovers this weekend at a friend shop. I need to know if I can re-use my OEM suspension bolts or should I purchase new ones. If so which one do I need? I am asking because I know some of the bolts are one-time use only sometimes.

    Any help is appreciated.

    thanks

There may be a couple nuts that are one-time use, but I don't recall anybody specifically mentioning replacing hardware. I'd be sure to use some loctite on reassembly and you should be fine.

A lot of people use loctite to reuse suspension bolts but I usually replace to be on the safe side. Cost is minimal in comparison to the cost of the coilovers.

Agree, if you can get the proper nuts before install, just use new. Don't try going to Lowes and buying some that look the same, because you can end up with some inferior hardware and that is way more dangerous then reusing a factory nut.

The ST's come with new bolts for the top of the strut (front) and top of the shock (rear). Reuse the rest of the bolts from the factory set up. Its only 3 up top in the front and a few down low to take things loose.
