ECS Tunings interior LED kit -overhead lighting

I got the overhead lighting kit from these guys...but i got a problem.

They included 6 twist in bulbs....Where do all 6 go? I got only 4 possible spots for them, ya know in those push button map lights.

They included 2 36mm bulbs for the vanity mirrors and 2 42mm bulbs for the front main dome light.

Soo now what do I do for the back? I need 2 more 36mm bulbs for the rear dome light.


The kit on their website shows they include 6 twist ins, 2 36mm bulbs and 2 42mm bulbs

When the car requires, 4 twist ins, 2 42mm bulbs and 4 36mm bulbs...

Anyone do this before??

Call them and tell them. They should make it right. They might not know their "kit" is incorrect.

But you should have gone with http://www.krautoparts.com/ and saved yourself a ton.

I've noticed these cars aren't all the same. Mine has wedge bulbs (194) in the glove box, pass. Frt footwell, 36mm all other footwells, 194 wedge puddle lamps, BA9 twist in front maps and rear maps, 36mm vanity mirrors, 42mm fronts and 36mm rears.

However, the BA9s in the ECS kit will not work. The distance from tab to tab is about .060" difference and does not make efficient contact which causes the overheads to not function correctly.

I also do not know why, but my vanity mirror lights from the ECS kit do not fully illuminate unless I have one of the front overhead lamps on not happy with my kit from them. However they did help me out on the kit so I cannot put the blame on ECS rather than Ziza who is the vendor.

Just FYI C5 A6 cars require canbus bulbs to be installed INSIDE of the car otherwise you will have issues with "LED DIM" while car is off or issues with map bulbs turning on and off. Personally saw this on 2002 C5 A6 4.2L we did.

I bought all mine from http://superbirghtleds.com for all my interior LED's so much cheaper but harder to determine what size bulb i needed. Got all of them right except for the Map lights, need an LED with 360 degree beam angle. I bought 90 degree and it just lights up the inside of the headliner.

Weird i think i was having some sort of issue with them too. The map bulbs were dim but not ON when the button was off...idk they work lol

Yea man that's all I need, and ill return these 2 twist ins, you should revise that kit for the C5 A6s cause i think its wrong.

4 Twist ins
4 36mm bulbs
2 42mm bulbs

and the overhead is set on the C5 A6
