I bought an A4 with 63k and no maintenance records. I did a M1 oil and filter change, air, fuel, and cabin filter change, new spark plugs, drained and refilled the trans, rear diff, and power steering. Saturday I'll do a brake fluid change. What am I forgeting?
    Thank you, Jay

J plug, maybe look into the timing belt, check sun roof drains for clogs, tire pressure, alignment, lube the wiper transmission, brittle vacuum lines suck, go to the dealer to see if you can get the coil packs replaced for free.

Definitely the timing belt. Age matters more than miles.

Just about any type of grease works fine. I used some marine wheel bearing grease I had. Here is a nice link with more info. http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...r+transmission

Thanks for all the help. I will change the coolant and replace the valvecover gasket when I change the TB this fall.
I checked all the hoses and they all seem to be OK, no dry root, etc. I'm not sure where to find the suction jet pump or what it looks like, but I'll get back to it. I found that the front engine mount has some cracks and will replace that soon.
I'm going back out and doing the wiper trans service next. Thanks for the great writeup on the wipers.
    Thank you, Jay

Just look up Engine Strengthening by A4Darkness, if it's in that thread and you haven't done it, DO it.
