So the stock passenger side headlight is dimmer(almost pink) than the driver side. What does this mean and what can I do?

It means it's time to change both your bulbs. You want to replace in pairs to keep the colors the same.

Also, how hard is it to replace the bulb? I have replaced plenty of halogen bulbs but never an HID.

You just have to remove the headlight housings, changing the bulb is easier than removing the headlight housings. Be sure to note which way the notches lined up when removing the old bulb. Be sure to get 4300k bulbs for the best light output.

It's also possible that the reflective coating on the focal piece the bulb sits in has been burnt. If a new bulb doesn't change the color, I'd say that's your culprit.

Has anyone used the DDM D2S 5000k to replace the stock bulbs? How do they look/hold up?

I picked up a D2S from NAPA for $75, it works but I have $15 H7 DDM bulbs in my HID fogs and they work too. The DDM bulbs don't last as long But when I can replace a pair 4 times before reaching the price of a single bulb available locally (they're the only ones available here) I don't mind using the cheapo chinese crap.

By far the best bulbs I've had, 2 sets have lasted me 5 years, even with removing and messing with the headlight configurations. (2 sets because I work on 2 S4s)
