Tires on 18x9 wheels

Trying to decide between a 235/40 and a 245/35 on 18x9 wheels. Does anyone have any experience with this? Offset will be 37mm, or possibly 32mm. Also, will be going on an Avant if that makes a difference in the rear.

I have 18x9 +40 had 10mm spacer end et +30, it just cleared no rubbing.
I think 245 might rub.

I am running a stretch tire on 18x9 mb battles, no rubbing 225/40/18 dunlop

^^ That mexi-poke. I have 225/40s on a 18x9 and it doesn't have anywhere near that amount of stretch.


You'd be fine with 235/40s.

Different offset, didn't want to run staggered setup or different offsets/widths/etc

235/40 fits 18x9 perfect i think. i rub a bit but im dumped and have a spacer on the front
