SWAP IS DONE CVT FINALLY OUT 5SPD present

Finally the swap is done. Once the CVT was swap the car feels totally different. If they ask me if its worth it I would say Hell yeah if you are keeping your car. Will post pictures on later on.

Hey, the swap was done by EAtuning here in PR, the transmission is a DVX series from a passat, the drive shat are from B5 S4, the thw shift link fit direclty, the pedals fit with out modifications, you do have to reprogram ABS, ECU, Cluster to manual codes. I can take picture if you need something specific. Is definetly another car once completed. Let me know.

To my knowledge no change to the sub frame but I will look under the car tomorrow to see if there any any part number that can help you.

Awsome!! im attempting to do the same swap. How much did the shop charge if you dont mind me asking?

- Did the crank shaft need modding to mate to the 5 speed?
- What year passat is the shifter linkage from
- what kind of software modding was needed
- Do you have a list of parts

Well the shop charged me $2,300 parts and labor. He didn't mention any modification to the crank as I understood everything is straigh foward. We used as donor car a 2003 passat which I beleive is the same as Audi B5.

You will need:

Manual Tansmission with shift linkage, in my case was a DVX series but I am pretty sure other series would work.

Pedals, no modifcation was needed to install the gasoline, brake and clutch pedal

Clutch pump, the brake fluid has a tube in the back that it is used for cluctch pump.

I used B5 S4 front axle don't really know if there is difference from other B5.

This were the main parts used.

As for program you need to recode your ECU, ABS Module and Instrument Cluster. The codes are posted in some forum here Audizine.
