    Mine are on last lifting power at this point and was wondering what others are doing when they go out.

    Do you have a good place to order new ones from? Are they all basically the same?

    (I have a b6 a4 1.8t avant)

    I just replaced mine and was able to find them at www.Autohausaz.com for about $10 cheaper per side than ECS for OEM units.

    I paid less than 40 for 2 but they are not OEM but work just as well and have a lifetime warranty (I think)
