need help!!!

so im very new to audi, i just bought one a couple weeks ago for a very good price but it needs a new transmission range sensor, i know its a very expensive fix but i cant find any info about them or where to even find one. also i was wondering if i got a used one from somewhere would that still work? or is this a stealership part only? any info would be helpful

its a 2004 A4 1.8t...it still drives for now but i have to use tip tronic mode only, just tryin to avoid paying $2,000 to fix it

It is on the driver's side of the trans behind the trans mount. Takes 2-3 hours to replace it.
