The time has come to sell the car
It's time to sell the S4. After a few good yeas its time to part ways. That being said I'm kind of at a crossroads with the aftermarket parts. I currently have a Stasis CB, Stasis coilovers, Alcon BBK, and a few other bits and pieces. I'm not too sure what I'm going to do as the parts themselves are worth way more off the car than on and I have people offering me a little low for the car.
If any of you have any advise as to part out the "goods" before I sell it I'd like to hear. Since I'm leaning towards parting it out if any of you guys wants those parts let me know. I'd much rather get a little more cash in my pocket by parting the car to a more stock version and hook you guys up.
I will be getting another Audi and I'm looking at a more practical Allroad for the family so I will not be leaving the Audi scene here.

You will definitely get more out of it by parting out the stuff that is easy to take off the car. Brakes and suspension are easy to swap and it wouldnt make sense to leave them on. DO you still have the stock parts?

That's the shitty part. I bought the car as it is with the brakes and suspension. I'd be down to do a trade plus cash and I'll install. If anyone has any stock parts for this platform let me know. I'd much rather swap them, then sell the parts on here but I have none

Some dealerships I have come to realize actually pay for those parts if they are left on the car. In my experience, though, it's best to part it out for stock parts.

Best to part it if you can find the parts. I see cars with upgrades hit the auction all the time and they sometimes even bring less than a stock car as it just makes most normal buyers nervous. If you find an enthusiast who understand and appreciates the parts then its different but not so easy. What other bits and peices do you have?
On a side great choice with the allroad, really great cars and with a few simple and comparebly inexpensive mods they are rediculously fast for how big they are. Assuming your going for a manual but if auto try to stick to late 04 or 05 models when the updated torque converter was used.

I would love a manual but they apparently didn't make it in the 2004-2005 range. That's what I'm going for and I have a couple in mind on CL. I figure I'll start with a tune and exhaust and see if I get bit by the bug.
I have an RS4 grill, Stasis SL Coilovers, Stasis CB, Alcon BBK, gutted DP's, VMR 701's 19" which will need new tires this summer, and I think thats about it. I also have a CF hood which would need to be traded for a phantom black hood which I doubt will happen.
If you guys see anything you like let me know.

They made manual allroads all the way through the end including 2005, they get harder to find but they do exist unless your looking for a 4.2 which was only an auto and only available in 04-05. Some folks who want a manual try to find an 02 as it was the last year the 2.7t got all the extra options like heated steering wheel, passenger memory, solar roof etc.. After that only the 4.2 came optioned out and the 2.7t took a step back.

Oh I gotcha. Looks like I need to brush up on the allroads. I'm ok with an auto.... Maybe it comes with a purse or automatic tampon insertion option.

lol... almost sprayed my monitor with coffee reading that. The tip in the allroad is fine as long as you have the newer TQ or it has been changed already. The year ranges your looking at should be good. Only thing with the tip is as long as your staying stock or stage one you will be ok. Evidently when folks try to push more than 400lbs of torque or go stage III thats when they break and a damn rebuild is like 3-5k depending on who does it and how built you want to make it.

Not that I should be spending any money on upgrades right now but I can't help asking....how much for the Alcon brakes if I were to give you my stock parts? Do you know what size the rotors are? I remember some people having issues with the BBS RGRs I have and big calipers.
If you don't find anyone willing to trade you parts and you're set on trading it in, I'd really like to get the coilovers too but I can't offer a whole lot of $$$ right now. Gotta buy a new engine first.

The brakes are the 320mm set and I have no problems fitting in my 19" wheels. I'd sell the brakes for $1500 and install them for you if you'd like. The coil-overs would be 1500 also. If those seem fair as I haven't really priced them out. As far as the wheel/BBK setup, they look effing amazing. I'd be interested in selling both so no fitment questions arise.

How soon are you planning on getting rid of this car? I REALLY should not be even considering any of these parts at the moment but I have no self control.
Let me get my engine repaired and I'll see if you have parts and if I have any money left.

I would've pretty much given you my stock cat back. Let me know if you want it, it has single tips though with rear magnaflow mufflers. You keeping my old stock downpipes? Cause I wouldn't mind having those back.
What are you thinking for the Stasis suspension? I have stock stuff we can put on your car...

Auto sportwerks has a stock CB that they'll give me for 120. I'd prefer not to give any money for the stock CB but that was a pretty quick solution.
As for the coilovers I'd take 1500 plus your stock ones. They're in pretty good shape and treated me well. The stock DPs are going on tonight to get rid of the CEL and I will only have the gutted DP's left. Your CB has the single outlet and I believe has a valving system on it that I don't use otherwise I'd take it. If you want the coil overs I can swap them out sat or if you have the stock ones I'd be happy to take them off your hands for cheap.

Bet you can't wait to get your ass back in a turbo car again! So with just a chip, the 2.7 is over 300 chp, no? I raced a stock allroad once, and barely beat it. I'm sure you'll be putting more power to the ground with just a chip than the V8 could at our elevation.

Oh I hope so. I put a deposit down on the only 6MT Allroad in the area for sale. RS4 clutch was installed 2500 miles ago, new front airbags, air compressor, timing belt, all other PM, and two sets of wheels. Probably look into a re-spray or plasti-dip for the black bumpers. Now I just need to get rid of my car as soon as these D-bags stop low balling me.
Any recommendations on what chip to get?

Nice, that sounds like a great allroad you got. I ran APR on my A6 and allroad and their tunes for the 2.7t are considered middle of the road. I think GIAC make a more aggressive one but I wanted to be able to switch between programs and reset CEL with the stalk which were options on the APR only at that time, not sure now.

Great. I don't even have the car and it's already starting... On a side note I keep getting these offers for 20k-24k. It KBB's at 27 but isn't perfect. The guy that offered me 20k I told to go buy a STI or Lancer....

No shit. I'm gonna redo my post after I get it back in stock form then give it a little bit. I don't have to worry about finding another car so that helps.
