That is correct, headlight adjuster malfunction. It is corrected by either getting a new bulb or ballast(usually the ballast). If it annoys you, you can pull fuse #10, to rid the warning light.

Had this happen to me recently. Fixed it Sunday.
On the left side of the car in the wheel well is where the sensor is located. It's an arm connected to a bracket that sets the headlight level based on the ride height of the car. Here is the picture from ECS:
Here is a picture of the suspension and where it is installed:
On mine, I hit a hard bump (railroad tracks) and the connector simply wiggled loose. I pulled it off, cleaned the junk out of both ends, plugged it together until the barbs would engage, and the self-leveling feature of the headlights worked properly again.

That sure looks like limp mode. That happened to me last week when I left my head lights on and drained her almost completely dead.

This is a dipped headlight warning.
Can also happen when the lights are disconnected and you go to turn lights on.
Can be cleared with vag com.

I had this issue intermittently. The dealer replaced the levelling sensor in the suspension as shown above, but I still got the warning. The last thing they did was replace the rearview mirror which was throwing a code and has some kind of sensor in it. I haven't gotten the warning since, but then again it's now daylight out when I drive home from work, so the headlights aren't on anymore.

good eye - and thanks
The rubber in the shifter seems to have "disappeared" the top portion is still there but I have no idea what happened to the bottom half. It shifts fine in sport mode and drive but I cannot use the tiptronic mode - ANOTHER ISSUE.
Was planning to take it to Eurosport in Dallas (Plano, TX to be exact). Is there an easy fix for this? I didn't want to start tearing things down and break something so if anyone knows if this is easy fix and or part number I'd appreciate it.

It seems relatively straight forward. I appreciate the info/help.
