cracked factory internal HID headlamp wiring harness insulation B6

so my factory HID low beam went off and I found all the wires insulation is craked all over the place... i tryed to get some info from the net and audi but there is nothing about it. no kit, no tsb, no recall. i will try to repair with shrink tubing but its a very hard task. any other background you can offer will be appreciated...

I have the same problem with my B7 S4 with factory xenon's. I'm getting ready to do a swap for euro clear corners. You can buy a big roll of wire and start replacing the worst offenders or try some of that liquid tape stuff.
