Incorrect gear ratio

I have a 2002 Audi a6 in fail safe mode and I just had the transmission flushed but when I clear the incorrect gear ratio code it shifts into what seems like first gear in tiptronic mode but never catches but if I rev up to 6000 Roma and let it come back down it catches but in 4th and goes to fail safe mode? Is this the Tcm? And the check engine light has still not come on but dash monitor says service

If the fluid level is correct and you don't have any other trans fault codes then it needs a rebuild.
