Drag day cancelled :(

"Cold, Rain & Snow Force Cancelation of First Drag Test & Tune

A combination of snow, heavy rain and cold temperatures this week and with the same forecast through Sunday makes it impractical to run this Sunday’s drag strip test and tune, the first planned event of the season.

While the track crew has worked to get the computer system, sensors, scoreboards and track electronics up and running after the winter hiatus, the nasty weather hasn’t allowed the crew to get additional track prep done prior to Sunday’s scheduled opening. And the weekend weather calls for much of the same.

The track was scraped and washed, but another couple of days without rain or snow for additional track prep are needed. Safety is paramount…cooperating weather is needed.

The next scheduled test and tune is Sunday, March 25.

Drag strip opening day! Gates open at 730am, racing starts at 9am. Who wants to throw some passes down the track!!!

BTW, for anyone who hasnt been...$30 per driver for the day. If you plan on running 13.99 or faster...bring a snell approved helmet.

Only got two passes in, and feel there is room for improvement in the launch. I ran VERY consistant runs (both within .005 of each other on all stats lol) and got a best of 14.135@98mph w/ 2.0 60'. Ran the car in full street trim, just taking out the spare tire and crap in my trunk. Felt that if I was able to get a few more passes in I could have nailed the launch a bit better and found the sweet spot...
