When I put my VIN into Audi's website it came up with no recalls, so maybe they just haven't updated the overall system yet for specific VIN's? I'll post the warranty work codes from the invoice tomorrow after I have the service done if it helps.
Alright well that's good news. Hopefully, my dealer calls back soon, they never call me back with good news

Your dealer is full of shit. The 10/120K extension came out back in November. As of 3/6/2012 these parts are now part of a required vehicle update bulletin. It is recall like but are not actually a recall, it is a technical bulletin that is to be performed regardless of whether or not it has an associated failure. I work at a dealer and we ran 15-20 of these through the shop today

Are the recalls still limited by mileage or no longer an issue now? I'm over the 120k cutoff.

Yes. As long as you fall within the Extended Warranty's parameters (Usually 10 years or 120k miles).

Thats interesting. Is this as close to a Recall Audi gets? Why is the intake flap such a serious issue that its been escalated to a mandatory update when a car is in for service? Curious as my dealer did it, but I wasn't aware of any major symptoms of Intake flap motor failure. It just seems like a relatively minor issue to put a required replacement TSB out there.
If only Audi did that for the Tiptronic Torque Converter failure thats becoming so common...

It is about as close as it gets. If it were more safety related then it would be a recall. It was probably preemptive IMO, class action sludge lawsuit (B5/B6) and I've heard that another class action suit is being put together about driveshafts on Touareg/Q7/Cayenne since the carrier bearings fail, are not serviceable and a new driveshaft is $1200! Then add few hours of labor to replace it. I think they don't want another big lawsuit when it will be cheaper to just fix peoples cars.

I'm nowhere near this kind of modding but you can definitely hear my DV "blowing off". Will this be an issue for this recall? I have a 2006 with under 140 KM.

That depends on how mod friendly your dealer is. Given the intake flap and PCV have almost nothing to do with what has been modified, they shouldn't hassle you but they might.

Not sure I understand what the DV has to do with the Intake Flap Motor...

I just picked up my car from having the recalls done on my car. Here's what is on my receipt:
17D9 Update - replace crank case breather valve #06F129101P
24T3 Update - replace the intake manifold flap motor #06F133482E
24T4 Update - Replace Thrust Sensor # 06E906051K
All done at n/c and had my car back to me in about 2 1/2 hours.

My dealership stated the following.
Recall 17D9 - PCV
They also called me today and said that there is no recall 24T3 -Adjuster so they will not perform that.
One last thing is I told them I have the old "710G" Diverter Valve and that when I purchased the car CPO'd back in July I was told that it had the revised "710D". I told him that I wanted them to do that so he came back and said it would be $185 dollars to do that because there is nothing stating that they have to upgrade the Diverter Valve.
Two things...
1) Is there an actual recall for the Adjuster ?
2) Does my DV have to fail in order for them to replace it?

I was told the 24T4 was closed and only a warranty extension.

Just called my service advisor. He said, yup, open campaign on two things - crank case breather valve and intake motor flap. Made an appt to drop it off Monday, loaner scheduled.
Bummed though, as they no longer have any 6MT loaners. I used to get this one:

Was at my dealership yesterday for something unrelated and was told a recall was just announced the previous day for the PCV. I was told they would only replace it if its found to be faulty. Going in next week to have it looked at.

I meant them knowing that my car is modded. I know some dealers will try to get out of doing any warranty work if any part of the car is noticably modified.
In any case, I called my local dealer and they said the only current campaign is for replacing coilpacks. The PCV and intake flap motor are both on extended warranties and have to fail before they replace them.
I'm hoping when they check during my appointment that they will just replace them too.

They're full of shit. My dealer just replaced mine under warranty and I didn't even know about it or ask them. Like, the guy just told me my car was ready to pick up and "oh by the way we also replaced your intake flap motor since your unit was an old revision."
If you have another dealer nearby you might want to talk to them, or call AoA and run it up the ladder that the dealer isn't performing warranty related service.
And yea being modded does make it harder sometimes. I wouldn't bring it up if your dealer is fussy, some don't care at all. It just depends how difficult the service dept is really.

I was told by a friend to ask for a specific service rep who has been "accomodating" to him in the past (friend's family has owned like 10 Audis), and to mention the other fixes to him. Hopefully he will "find" them to be faulty even without a CEL....
I will update after my appointment next week.

2) most likely. I would just buy it yourself. They aren't too expensive and you can replace it with hand tools.

I just called my dealer and asked about the thrust sensor and the intake flap motor. They said I am covered and to bring it in on wednesday. They are even gonna give me a loaner because they said the flap motor takes a while, so I don't think its something you can do yourself easily with a couple hand tools...

Yeah, I've taken in out already, just to verify it was the 710G. I think I spent more time taking the belly pan off than I did removing the DV.

Charles was referring to my DV install, not the Actuator. I was also informed that it would be about 2.5 hours to do the updates. So I, too, will be getting a loaner.

I called my dealer and received the same response regarding it was only an extended warranty - what did you say to AoA? I've never called them before.
