i have a b7 1.9 diesel engine with 80 000 kilometers. A friend noticed ( while driving my car) that the gear stick moves back and front when i give it gas and release the throttle. it does this in 1, 2 and 3 rd gear only. So i changed the passenger engine mount( the mechanic found it leaking) and the rear gear box mount. The result...the same amount of gear stick movement. I checked the snub mount and it looked fine( not cracked, torn). And another thing....when i rev the car from idle to about 2000 rpm ( quick rev) the front of the car "moves" from side to side ( only when i rev it quick)
1 is this normal for a diesel engine?
2 could the snub mount be the cause?
3 what else to check for?
