This. It would be impossible for you to be missing the oil filter housing.
That was the second place to tell me the same thing... "Ummm...something is missing..."
I have been putting about 3 quarts in inbetween oil changes.
Whether it makes sense or not, why would two totally seperate places tell me the same thing if it was not missing? Either way, I'm being reimbursed by the dealershit I bought from.

If you climb under your car and look, you'll understand why it makes sense. The housing holds the filter in place. Without the housing, the filter would just fall off. With no filter in place, oil would be just pumped onto the ground. Your engine would be completely void of oil in almost no time, and burn up & seize shortly after. Of course 3 quarts is a huge amount, so you're obviously losing some somewhere, I just fail to see how it could be the actual oil filter housing. Maybe they mean something else when they say that.

Thats exactly what I thought, so I thought the valvoline I had to hit the first time was full of shit when they said it was missing. I don't doubt something could have been wrong, but when I took it to the local dealership they said something was gone too, handed me the invoice, I paid it and walked off annoyed. I figured they just meant something else. I wasn't saying that it didn't make sense, I understand what it is and what it does, I just don't understand how it was missing, how I drove without it, wth they were even meaning, I just walked out and left. Then their carwash ripped my dipped wheels. Wonderful day yesterday haha. "fuck, should have just painted them.."

Looks like the issue I had when I tried to install the TR6 and the RAI (initially) FMIC. ou need the in/out ports to angle back. Like the AWE and Racetec. Not sure how the CTS one fits.

Here it is without the bumper:
You're right, if the ports were angled back it should clear another inch or two, allowing the bumper and trims to go on properly. I wonder if I can get them bent back somehow without affecting the performance?

RAI's were angled just enough, along with some trimming to fit my DTM. The Racetec is the cheapest full kit option. You could also look into the Scion IC core made by Treadstone.
