No kidding. Oddly enough, the officer who caught them said the car had front and rear plates on it (which is just stupid since my personalized plate is so noticeable) but when I got the car, it had no plates on it at all.

Last known cities she was known to live in is Colusa and Grimes, http://www.publicrecords.com/people-...-in-california,
and last listed address found was 3276 Mccoy Rd Colusa, CA 95932 but nothing for Grimes.
She may have been on her way back up to Calusa County when she got pulled over so you were pretty lucky they got her before she made it up there

^Maybe you are right, maybe that is her with such address location in the same radius even though it says on her page, single after a terrible relationship unless she didn't update that page for days which I find most likely true judging my the quality and quantity of pics she got on FB. Still can't believe such looking crack whore would pull a steal on an Audi, this bish straight up deserves to drive some old beat up Ford truck from the 70's.lol

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. She's got a bf? But the officer who caught them said it was her bf. A very young looking black guy. Early 20s for sure. I should post his picture o n here. And I would believe she's not updating her Facebook. She's too busy shooting up. Haha!
The tow guy said she definitely didn't belong in that car. So that's another reason this is likely her.

The officer said they both were early 20s. If I had nudes (or even ANY picture) of her, I don't think I'd be speculating as to how she looks. Pictures were just tons of tattoo examples, a few of scenery she took, and a few of her young, black bf wearing the same cap that I found in my car.

Ahh, she definitely looks older in the left picture but I can see early 20s in the picture on the right. Either way, if this is the real car thief, I want her in jail. And my stolen garage items back. :(

I see 40s in both, but I don't think that lighting is helping at all.

Most likely it's the guy who took the car, then gave the car to the girl to drive around for a while or just gave it to her and she thought it was gift from the guy.

I was thinking the same thing. Out of my 6 CDs in my changer, she only kept one in there (although she replaced my AC/DC CD with hers from the SF library)..:/
And those other 4 CDs seemed more 'girly'. All were 'borrowed from the SF library too.

If you go to the oldest posts on the wall of that facebook profile, you'll see her mentioning that she turned 22 on Sept 20, 2010. That would make her 23 now. She also mentions living in Grimes prior to moving home to Clearlake. The public records link indicates Grimes as an address and 23 as her age, so I'm confident in saying that the facebook profile and public records search are pointing to the same person.
I'm stoked you got your car back. I've been checking up on this thread since you posted it. I'm glad it's finally ending well for you.

Why would I need to rekey the ignition locks? I doubt she could even get a copy of the key (pretty expensive and they require license and registration, I believe). Although, now that I think about it, I believe she's got the valet key. Hmm, I'll have to mention that to my insurance agent. Thanks for mentioning that. ;)

Yeah, tell me about it. I'd love to know her schedule the week prior to my recovering the vehicle. Wtf was she doing all the way in SF? And she must have been roaming the streets at almost 2am to have seen my garage open. :/
Yes, I'm getting the car professionally detailed/cleaned inside and out after I get confirmation of reimbursement from my insurance agent. Outside isn't bad but the inside could use a cleaning.

Wow! Plates and key on the keychain? Driving it around? Are people insane?
The balls on that one! Although I guess it is possible that they bought the car from the person who stole it, cash deal, which obviously would insinuate the car was stolen, basically making them just as guilty...
Happy for you though!

That's what I was thinking too. I guess it's one way to appear as if you're the owner.
Yeah, I was thinking that too. But I doubt her or her bf would even have enough money to do that.

Well, as of yesterday (I found out today), the adjuster offered me about $4200 for the car repairs (glove box, armrest, small scratches here and there, curbed rims, etc.), as well as for certain items in my car (basically only whatever Audi put in the car when purchased). I suppose that's not too bad.
What do you all think? The itemization lists the first aid kit as $175! That's crazy! Valet keys were $120 and $150. Damn, Audi OEM stuff is expensive.
Still waiting on the homeowner's claim for the items they stole from my garage.
The investigator and police at this point have been essentially useless. I've left countless messages (no more than 1/day) and still no response from them. I have no license plates whatsoever on my car. But I'm glad I ordered some a while back and they came with stickers too. They're just in LA. My brother's bringing them up tomorrow. :D

I'm really happy that your car got recovered! I live in sunset too - so this is too close to the heart when an Audi gets stolen right here in the hood..
As for insurance - I wouldn't sweat it - off course the stuff is expensive.. and though it seems like you might need it all..perhaps if they just cut a check you might find it unnecessarily to go and a buy it all..
As for people that stole it - the low life pieces of shit that they are - they belong in jail with scum..hopefully they get a long enough sentences.

For those following this, I ended up getting around $4200 from my auto insurance claim and $6100 from the homeowner's insurance. Not bad, I suppose. I sorta wish I had my stuff back instead of the money. Replacing the 'needed' items is just going to be a hassle. :(
Oh, and the police (after recovering the vehicle), were essentially useless. Never returned ANY of my MANY voicemails or calls. Totally ridiculous. It's like they're trying to avoid me like I'm a tax collector. Pretty sad, actually. And this is both the investigator in SF (whom I've NEVER spoken to), as well as the officers in Pittsburgh (where the car was recovered).
