Gave my S4 a little make over. (Be easy on me)

Replaced the front bumper (it actually was alot worse than it looks in the pic) repaired the hood repainted the fenders forward painted the wheels and re tinted the windows. Had a really low budget but I like the way it turned out :)

im gonna have to pick up a bumper like that too...mine is split in half and held on by zap straps. id scrap the grill and at least get a oem s4 grille. other then that for a low budget it looks ok.

Personally I would pick up an rs4 grill and try to find a stock bumper. But to each their own. Coils will help a ton too. Vmaxx just came out with b5 c/os if you are on a budget.

lol EVERYONE hates the grille. Would I rather have an OEM grille? YES but I taking this one step at a time. The Army doesnt pay me $100,000 a year lol. Had to settle for the garbage aftermarket front cover because I spent 2 months looking for a used cover and I gave up. When I did find one the funds werent avalable and when I had the funds the bumper was gone. Regardless, I would take it any day over my old bumper that dragged on the ground. I got got tired of people looking at me when I drove by.

Dont get your painties in a bunch. You posted a picture for everyone to critique on the internet.. what did you expect?

I appreciate that you put in some time and effort. Really what you think is what matters most. If you like it then that is great. I actually like what you did(not 100%) but I'm thinking with some minor changes it could really stand out more. Probably need to see the car in person too to get a feel. I like the black and silver theme(perhaps do the clear corner mod).

I understand that you asked for opinions and got some harsh reactions but there is something especially harsh about the car tuner crowd for some reason. I'm on other forums for my other hobby and for some reason it is much much more positive overall.

Whatever he did, it's a start and what he can afford, so let's provide some sound advice and a direction to take the car, instead of tearing him apart.

    the internet is serious business..

everyone was being fairly decent.. only kind of bad comment was about the grill until he started going off on everyone claiming to be way poor compared to all of us ballers...

he knew what he was getting into, hence the (be easy on me) in the title of the thread... its really not a big deal.. the car looks a lot better either way. and if he likes it then what does he care if someone else doesnt..

you act like he's the first to ever run a rieger bumper. it's his fucking car. would i run one? no. am i going to shell out a fuckton of cash for an oem rs4 bumper then grease the bodyshop to properly fit it? not right now. it's better than his beat to hell stock bumper that was arguably beyond repair

Thanks guys I knew I'd get some shit but I appreciate the nice job but when you get the money get oem comments but not the bumper = fail ray Charles comments. You don't think I notice that kind of stuff? I spent a month on the Internet Audi forums Audi zine etc looking for a bumper. No one had one not even shokan. The pic above shows the bumper before I hit a parking block (don't ask lol) my bumper was literally dragging on the ground when I drove I did what I had to do. That grille came with the car I've only had it since sept. I did the best I could and honestly think it turned out great for what I paid. The southwest has nothing to offer but sand and desert. Sorry for the outburst. We will just blame it on the PTSD lol or my wife's period. Who knows.

They were selling stock covers for $550 at a local dealer a year ago... How much was this one? Dude, people haven't been that mean to you. Be proud that it looks better and see if the guy who painted it can re-do the job to make it match better. Silver isn't the Easiest but it's child's play compared to matching Imola.

Not bad but that bumper just looks soooo out of place, def need a stock bumper and a paint job that matches.
