Miro Wheel (CONCAVE) Test Fit on RS4

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
A customer ( in South Africa) wants a set of these for his RS4 and so after many calls and what not, I finally got my hands on one wheel to test fit. I took some pics testing on my car and I have to say they look really good for what they are. Specs are 19x9.5 ET40, yes, wheel spacers are needed lol. I have sourced a set of 15mm and 20mm to continue the test fitting. Running 10mm on my car so pictures below are with 10mm. Caliper does not clear! thats ET30. So I'll try the other spacers tonight. Im thinking its not going to fly due to the high concavity of the wheel, im keeping my eye on the face of the wheel and fender....keep you posted.

Well after tonight we concluded that these will not work on the RS4, the 15mm was enough to clear the big brake but the face of the wheel just stood out way too much....here are the pics (better quality)...worth the shot! They would have look good...

That was the downfall of borrowing the wheel. No tire could be mounted or no return. I did see it camber but I don't think it would of been enough.

Meh, to much poke, especially for the front. They would probably fit perfect in the rear though. Sucks because they would have looked good too.

Yes! You've gotta lower it to the ground in order to get an idea of wheel fitment. This is why you see all the 'stance' kids putting 2x4's or pads under a mounted rim to get an idea of how it will sit. I can work some pictures to show how this is done but here is a quick example. Yes these are horrible pictures and yes it's a MINI Cooper but the idea is the same.

Here is the car with the weight taken off it how the suspension sits:

Here is it set back on the ground:

As you can see the weight plays a huge part! I would suspect that it would be okay in fitment (depending on how you like your wheels to sit.)

those would work fine. It should fit nice and flush once sitting on the ground and a tire with a slight bit of stretch = you have a winner setup!

Looks like you will rub if the tires aren't stretched or the fenders aren't rolled. Looking forward to seeing the results.

Sup guys well, tire size was kept at 255 for the time being (tiny slight stretch) We have shipped the set and have asked for pics once they have been installed. Im going to pick up set this week just because i really liked the look after volunteering my car for the test fit. Considering this is in fact, a lower end wheel, they are very nice. Aesthetically they work! Garrett at MIRO really help us out w/ this.

Running these heavy azzed cast Miros on an RS4 just seems wrong and into downgrade over the stock rollers to me......similar to a hot female in a smoking hot dress rocking some Converse runners or something; calls for some hot heels / light, custom, forged rollers.
