    allroad **** best level?

Have been driving my new 2003 allroad for about a month now and love it. I have mainly kept it in level 2. Just curious, is that what most of you select? I think I read that it automatically lowers to 1 when at highway speed but really haven't noticed that. Is 2 a good choice for normal city driving?

I drive on setting #1 most of the time. The way I see it at that level the compressor doesn't have to kick on quite as often. I think it drops from #2 to #1 if you go over 75mph.

Audi designed Level 2 for most uses and that is the level where your tires were probably aligned. If you drive more on another level you will notice more uneven wear.

Thanks for the information. I guess I will just keep it on 2.

I had my alignment set for level one driving. Been driving the car that way for a year with no uneven wear to the tires. Just make sure you use a shop that is familiar with doing the alignment on an allroad. I only use levels 2-4 when there's deeper snow on the ground.

I guess I did not word my answer well. Yes, you should have your car aligned on the level you use most. That said, most cars are aligned on Level 2.

I'm having trouble believing this is a serious question.
