Radio/CD Player (without NAV) Question:

Hey, guys! I take delivery of my b7 S4 tomorrow! I can't wait! I'll be trading in my B6 A4 3.0L.

I have a question:

Is there a way (either through existing settings, or via VAG COM) to have the radio/cd player continue playing after turning off the ignition? This has always bugged me in the A4... I'm a huge music nerd, so I hate interrupting a song and having to turn the player back on, but I don't want to waste gas by idling for no reason!

after turning off the car just hit the power button on the radio again. It will play without the car on. I know the RNS-E does, and I'm 90% sure I could with the symphony radio before I replaced it

^ It plays for about an hour after turning off the car, if manually turned back on. I was just wondering if there is a way to have it automatically stay on until you open a door (similar to other cars I've driven).

Sadly I think that this is not an option on these cars. I recall reading somethign on this but could not find the thread with a brief search. My wife's car keeps the radio on until the drivers door is opened...

is it really that much trouble just to hit the on button again?

often I am pulling into my driveway just towards the end of a news story or song I am listening to, and I either wait to turn the car off or just turn the radio back on until it finishes. It really doesn't trouble me that much to push a button
