It really bugs me that when I close the roof on my S5 cab, the windows only roll up part way. What would be the reason for this behavior? Is there a tweak to make the windows close all the way?

Using VAGCOM, you can set convenience key so when you hold the lock button windows/sunroof close and unlock they open.
Then, in your MMI, there is a setting where you can disable the sunroof if you want, it is under car> windows or car>set up>windows
At least that is how it is on the A4, so should be the same.

Thank you but perhaps I was not clear. What you describe is the ability to control the windows and sunroof via the remote. What I want to do is different. I have an S5 cabrio. When I start to close the roof, the windows will roll all the way down. When the roof is fully closed the windows will automatically roll back up but only part way. I want the windows to roll all the way up.

Ahhh.
Then that, I am not sure about, but here is a product that you might like. I have a friend with an AMG convertible and a friend with an A4B7 Cab that I installed this for both of them. http://www.pcars.com/porsche_parts/s...er/p_4059.html
It is a module that lets you open and close the top via remote, one touch in the car (not hold it down), and while driving at low speeds. I know with that you can program the action of the windows via the USB. Just not sure if they have it for the B8 yet.

I thought the windows not rolling up 100% - up to 95% - is a feature of the roof coming down, then the windows would finish rolling up to complete the cycle. This is to insure the windows run into the seals properly, which on a Cabrio (and the new A/S7 is very important since there is no window frame.

I wish this was the case. The windows in my 2012 S5 rolls up about 75% of the way after the roof is finished closing. I dont see the logic in this. I found a 3rd party control module that provides some pretty cool features including remote opening/closing of the roof and one button roof operation. See the link in my previous post.

partially, the windows don't roll all the way up on all 5's for that reason not just the cabs. What he is experiencing seems to be a different problem. Don't know much about the cab might want to see how other cabs are operating.

I'm sure there is a vagcom option to fix it, was it always like that? Any other cabs you know do this also? Might want to contact the dealer first to see if it is "supposed" to do this. If it is then I'm sure there is a way to code it differently. Maybe DavidB8 can help you, he seems to have dug into the vagcom coding pretty deeply.

I saw this same behavior in the A5 cab I test drove not too long ago as well so I am fairly certain this is normal behavior. Weird huh?
