    xs power parts???

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I came acrosss the downpipes awhile ago online for under 300 bux and have been curious. Ive seen people using the downpipes and full exhaust systems on here with good reviews. Seems you can get full downpipes with high flow cats for 300 and non catted ones for like 220. They sell full turbo back exhaust for around 600 which seems like a steal with these cars. I have also been seeing them selling side mount intercoolers and front mount intercoolers as well along with a set if rs4 inlet pipes for upgrades to ko4's. Thoughts on these products i am in the market for a set of downpipes and do not feel like spending 1200 or more. I currently have a milltek catback and mayb even interested in a new full system if it breathes better. Possible thought on a group buy??

xs power = SS autochrome. i doubt they will do a group buy, the price is already very reasonable.

I love "As seen on Audizine". Do we here offer credibility? lol. Back in the day another member and I split the turbo back package. He had slight fitment issues with the DPs (That was 5 years ago though) but I kept the exhaust and couldn't have been happier that I didn't spend over $700 on some piping.

Also, i assume their fmic is just the same as the generic ebay or jhm one. looks about rite. but those side mounts dont look to bad.

look up "ssac" for reviews, the exhaust is fine, and contact them directly and you can get everything (downpipes and catback) for under $600 shipped (at least you could a few months ago)

Yeah the side mounts do look good, I may pick up a pair eventually, I wonder if anyone else has?
I'm sure the milltek isn't any more restrictive than the ssac/xs. Why spend the money to get rid of the milltek if it's already on the car? That's how I'd look at the situation.

Here's a link to my old ssac exhaust w/o DPs:

yea nothing but good reviews. Just noticed they sell a ko4 kit with inlets for 1900. Dont know exactly how good the ko4's r or what brand they are but they seem to be a legit company.

im curious about their side mount intercoolers though. I wanted to run a fmic really bad but i dont want to cram it in there and eliminate my fogs and grills. Like to keep it as stock looking as possible.

I think they need to make an open element intake to compete with the other intakes that are like 350 plus up to 450 dollars. Considering the only 2 or 3 on the market for the car are basically a filter clamped on with a small heat shield. And why has nobody made any intakes for the b5 s4 other than like 3 companies. I know ppl will say the hp gains rnt there but there has been proven tests that an open filter can flow better than the stock airbox or even the darin mod.

Why not just make your own heat shield out of some aluminum?

i could i was even going to just make my own by buying and open element filter and pretty much clamping it on but i didnt know if it would fit on properly or if those couple kits came with anything special to make the filter fit on properly. not sure what size opeing they are. 3", 3 1/2", 2" 1/2".... I heard ppl were buying the shroom filter and running that on there.
