I'll add as I go but thats it so far.
I still need to get a clutch & pressure plate and I'm wondering which ones people would recommend.
Also I'm looking to get bigger valves, new springs, and bigger cams but I dont know what set up to go with, any information will be great, and I'll post pictures as I go too
Supertech or Ferrea for the valves. Mike Hood can hook you up. They come in standard or +1mm.
As for the clutch, have a chat to Mike again. I guess it would be mostly dependent on what the car will be used for (street/strip/track).
FX400 240mm would prob do the job just fine.
IE or a set of CAT cams are your best bet. I think IE cams are currently out of stock though.
ah I see you made it onto the Zine as well. There are a ton of builds going on locally in the MN suburbs, keep posting on the local forum you will get tons of good info there, A4Rob is the build beast and is on the forums quite a bit thankfully, listen to what he says and it will work.. sometimes I'm sure he will jump in here and holler
jaychen has you hooked up pretty good here. not much else to add.
Not sure if it's legal to mention, but if you haven't checked out MN Audi (site should be easy to figure out) that would be good to join. Lots of local enthusiasts there and they can point you to shops, parts, etc around the area.
Yeah I just joined MN Audi and I've been on Fourtitude for a while now too. Im still trying to figure out the whole head set up, turbo, fuel system set-up (Injectors, Fuel Pump, Fuel Rail, etc. for 93 tune), & tune. I've also been looking for a stage 2 or 3 clutch & pressure plate but I'm not sure which brand to trust, any ideas on any of this would be great

Dude,
For head, it's either Ferrea or Supertech valvetrain. Then you either go CAT cams or IE. No brainer.
Stock fuel rail is good for atleast 500hp I think, you can get adjustable FPR that fits in the stock position for ~$150ish. Fuel pump, either go 044 drop in from 034 ($400) or Aeromotive 340 is good for 340L/hr at around 3BAR ($170).
Clutch Masters for your clutch. 240mm setup for sure. Here are your options:

since you have a built bottom end the sky is the limit.
Turbo:
Garrett: gt30 series and up
Holset: hx35 (Rob is running one successfully)
PTE: 55- 5857
tonnnss of other options just pick one lol
don't forget a Tial WG & BOV to go with it.
Fuel:
850-1000cc injectors
IE or 034 fuel rail
-6 braided line
Fuel Lab or Aeromotive FPR
044 drop in fuel pump
Software:
Everyone here will tell you to get 034 or Eurodyne.. I wont. You are going to have to do some serious homework here, I have been for months now and have finally narrowed my search down to Lugtronic (hard to get a hold of) or Haltech ($$$$).
I can give you a clone of my parts list if you would like. shoot me a PM on MN0000, same name.
Wow you guys are all such help, seriously thank you. Im going to have to rotating assembly balanced, get the flywheel & crank resurfaced, get a new oil pan, and put it all together so I can start getting into the stuff you all just talked about. I will definitely post more pictures as I go and I'll get in contact with you guys for further inquires. Thanks again
Well when you have a build thread with pictures and progress, its hard to ignore and not help. It's the hypothetical builds that won't see this much attention.
I would recommend a CT that is similar to a 30r. You are only limited by your tune so don't cheap out on that.

Forgot to ask, what are your power goals? Do you plan to upgrade the brakes or suspension? I also noticed stock exhaust, which will be more of a power restriction than your stock cams at this point.

yeah i posted all the pictures so people knew that i was actually in the process of building it and not just bluffing. As for power I'm looking to get 400-500hp. I will lower it on some nice coils, do a downpipe and a magnaflow or something from the downpipe back. As for brakes, I'm not going to be doing anything with those for a little bit but they will be done, I just want the car running first, I've never driven it lol. Do you think that's an achievable power range for this build?
This builds been on hold for about a month now but after posting this forumn im motivated again, starting in March I'm putting the bottom end back together and getting a Clutch Masters Stage 2 or 3, and starting on the head. I'm really considering the CAT Cams but are they very realistic for daily driving?

I like more lower end power, the lower the better but I still want high horse power. And i was looking at some CAT Cams, whats a good angle for the 400-500hp range and where can i find all the info on that?
