Might as well just pack up... this forum is nothing but JHM people. I have the Uni Stage 2 chip and love it.
To each their own. Everyone can buy which ever parts or tune they want. But if you ask for someone's opinion expect to get one in return and don't expect you'll like what they have to say. An internet forum is a bunch of individuals' opinions. If the overwhelming opinion is for a particular product there probably is a good reason for that.

Any quarter mile times/traps to back up this claim?

I can't lie, if there was a UNI dealer in Colorado.... I would probably just go UNI stage 2 knowing that I do not have to have 5 days of down time while I ship my ECU out and back. with my profession, I can not afford 5 days downtime, which is why I am not tuned yet.........

5 days? Where did you get that from? I'm in NYC and I sent it out Monday morning and I got it back Wednesday morning. So basically 2 and half days without a car. You can rent a cheap car for days for less than $75
JHM told me to allow for 5 days? I can borrow my buddys car on a Monday, but Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday assuming 4 days, I would be on my own & don't really want to rent a car just to add to the cost of the tune....
we will see, I have been planning on getting my S4 tuned in march for a while now. The details are just iffy at the moment of how I am going to handle the down time

Iirc it cost me ~40 bucks to overnight my ecu each way with guaranteed 10 am delivery, and this is coming from nj. The downtime isn't as bad as you think
Do you ever take holidays that doesn't require driving your car?
I take the week between xmas & new years off every year. But that already passed haha. and I put 1200 miles on my car that week this last new years....
I plan to take the ECU out on a Sunday night. Ship very first thing Monday morning.... I'm in CO, so not sure when I could expect it back?
When do I purchase the ECU tune, the week before I ship it?

JHM put thousands of dollars and thousands of hours into creating the best b6/7 S4 tune on the market. Unitronic adjusted a few settings to make noticeable dyno gains and the car might "feel" a bit faster, but it's a joke compared to JHM's tune. There's a reason the top 1/4 mile times are dominated by JHM tuned cars.
Put this whole argument to rest by getting 2 s4s with piggy pipes and a tune from each manufacturer, and run them down the track.
2004 a4 3.0, black on black, sport package, UPL
| JHM 94oct tune, TCU tune | ST Coilovers |
| Pioneer avh4000dvd, hertz hsk 165's, PPI 580.4, JL 10w6v2, JL 500/1 |
I think M-Dub IS aware that JHM makes more gains, from my understanding he got tuned with UNI for the convienance of it and it clears exhaust CEL's...... I don't think he was expecting it to be better than a JHM tune

I'd just call them ahead of time just to be sure. I purchased mine then sent it out right away and then got an email in the afternoon saying they were out of the parts to do the tune. The time difference doesn't help that's for sure. 2 weeks later I got my ecu back.

This is the kind of crap I don't like. JHM's site should tell you if they have stock of something prior to putting an order through. I hate finding out after i put the order in that I have to wait for them to get inventory.
Spring is almost here, unlock your cars potential with Unitronic performance software @ RMS.
I love how you run your business, you obviously take zero time to learn what potential customers are willing to buy, you still try to "sell" something to a potential customer, instead of providing what they are willing to buy. Have you ever learned how to sell a product? Not trying to be rude or mean, but seriously how are you still around?
I post to offer high quality products at great prices, I have plenty of B6/7 RS4 guys with Unitronic tunes that I got from Audizine as customers. Everyone is so strongly opinionated when it comes to tunes, to me, the way the company conducts business is most important!

I have to agree....Did RMS look at the posts? It seems that they just post for the sake of posting and do not read the feedback in their own threads, to be completely honest it makes them look ignorant.
We have a great friend who works at Choate and go up to Wallingford every couple months to visit....I may have to stop by and see if they are as clueless sounding in person as they are on the forums...but on the forums that do not exactly give that warm and fuzzy feeling.
I want to see a Unitronic car run a JHM car.... then all of this can be put to rest..... APR, REVO & GIAC's tunes have already been shamed & pretty much discontinued
So get it, waste your money. Do you think JHM secretly pays all of their customers or something? This isn't everyone being bias, it's the fact that JHM has proven that their tune performs in real life situations i.e.. on the strip and street, it's not a DYNO baby. Although when I did my before and after dyno with my JHM tune, it wasn't about peak numbers, it was about the amount of power I picked up along the whole curve, which is what some people forget. But honestly all numbers were good.
