my driver side flickered when i installed mine.

    i bought these capacitors http://www.ebay.com/itm/2Pcs-Warning...item19c9bb9673

    but they did nothing

it ended up being that i had a defective ballast

i would check to see if your ballast or bulb is defective

i had a ballast that i pulled off of my fog lights until the replacement one shipped.

It should be a bad ballast. Where you get your kit from? If you got it from eBay than most likely that's prone to happen. I suggest you get hid kits from ddm tuning!

mine just started doing it too. i have 55w ddm 5000k.

mine flickers especially when the headlights are on and you turn on the high beams, then the headlights will turn off for like half of a second and turn on again.
also, some scenario but with headlights on and turn high beams off, headlights will turn off for half a second and turn on again.

Mine flicker a little, but only when the car isn't running. When running, rarely do they flicker if at all.

My DDMtuning slim ballast HID kit failed in less than 4months. It failed on the LH side first and then 10months later the RH side.

I bought mine through my sister who lives in US and when the LH side failed I ordered another set through their website as going through the warranty procedure for international customers can suck balls.

I replaced the failed ballast with new ones and it worked again.

Btw, the DDMtuning stuff originates from China(what else is not nowadays lol) and the part number on the ballast purchased from US and the ones shipped from China is slightly different, probably an update.

Threads like these make me hesitant to install the DDM HID's I've had sitting in a box for a year.

Just get a new ballast. The reason I say this is because I installed my friends hid kit on his c350 fogs and he came back to me telling me they flicker. He bought a new kit and I only changed the ballast, not the bulb and problem was fix.

The only reason why I recommend ddm tuning is cause they have life warranty. One of my ballast failed this summer. Took it out, shipped it to ddm tuning for 7 bucks and two weeks later new ballast arrive. Better than paying 50$ for a new set!

If you have a friend or know someone with an hid kit maybe they can let you borrow their ballast just to make sure!

It's probably a ballast, I had this same problem with my VVME HID's a few years ago. Before you buy one though, just double check all your grounds. A loose ground connection could also cause the flickering, and checking them is cheaper than buying a new ballast (becuase its free )

yeah just get get the ballast replaced

dont waste your time with the capacitors

our cars should provide enough power that it should not flicker because of lack of power

+1 on the ballast. I've had flickering HIDs in the past as well and it was due to the ballast going bad.

yeah I also bought from DDMTuning via a friend. They suck. My LH failed about 6months in. Always causes weird electrical issues when firing them on. Can't be good for the car. Next chance I get OE Euro S4/RS4 headlights are going in.

I had cheap hid on my lancer and I had fliclering issues. The issues was a loose connector from the harnes to the ballast. I went through a few ballasts before I said nuts to this now i enjoy my silverstar....lol
